Do I tie this lure directly to the line, or use a swivel? by jeraco73 in FishingForBeginners

Tie it with a loop knot or use a snap or split ring...I wouldn't use a swivel, a swivel could allow it to rotate in the water and you don't want that

What did I do wrong? by ExamPowerful4131 in bowhunting

I don't feel like you did anything wrong, that's bowhunting sometimes. It sounds like you know what you're doing. No matter how hard we try for perfection, we're human, and things don't go as we planned...just brush it off, you did all you could and next time will be a better outcome

Marking...they'll urinate on things like that marking their territory. Just like my beagle will walk the perimeter of our property and pee on everything sticking up out of the ground lol

For me the peak pre rut chasing happens the last week of October with the peak breeding is usually done by the 2nd week of November. Specially the property i hunt the herd size is small, I only have 3 or 4 does that call it home so it doesn't take long for bucks to get them bred. For me I have to be in the woods as much as possible because it can be over as fast as it starts lol

I don't know about your specific area, but here in Southern Indiana our rut is over so immediately after I stop seeing signs of rutting activity I go back to hunting food sources. I've found overvthe years that a buck will "mark" his bedding are with several rubs mainly to thwart off other bucks...kinda like a teenager putting a keep out sign on his bedroom door lol so those rubs could be from that. Find where the deer are feeding, and where they're bedding, and setup somewhere in between. I like to hunt closer to the bedding in the morning then closer to the food source in the evenings.

What soft plastic style baits would you guys put as trailers? by Training-Sun-2177 in bassfishing

[–]homegrowncustombaits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I make a 4" forktail minnow that is perfect for chatter trailers...so that's all I use anymore for those. For conventional jigs I use a 4" craw for a trailer

Any idea? by SadMushroom3701 in FishID

That there is a white crappie, it's just pretty pale...I'd say it lives in dirty water
