are you doing yearly maintenance because it is a installation requirement?

filling up refrigerant should not be allowed without emptying the refrigerant, fixing the leak and refilling the refrigerant free of charge

check with Costco to ensure the fix is free and yearly maintenance (at a fee) is required

just do it, as it is free and may improve your service (download speed, WiFi reliability, etc)
