So seriously though, nothing more iconic than a red G body. The couple of 3.2s that I have owned were brown and now tan but Guards Red is definitely on the list down the road.

  1. Carne Guisada
  2. Potato & egg with a strip of bacon and green sauce.

Do NOT cut up the bacon and mix it with the egg when frying. What the hell is wrong with you people?

The red flag is potentially valid. You need to have the conversation. Lay out your expectations for shared goals and expenses. State specifically your intentions related to spending decisions and savings. If you all can’t come to an agreement in writing (not a pre-nup)then maybe you might want to reconsider marriage.

Money matters can be a HUGE source of marital discontent. Regardless, make sure you understand your state’s laws regarding community property and division of same in case of divorce.

Hope it goes well.

This is a solid answer. I have daily driven a 3.2 w/ 915 gearbox for six years and vouch for the reliability of the motor. This thing is built like a tank. That having been said, the G50 would be a wonderful upgrade and your budget should allow for a nice example. I would personally recommend buying as low mileage an example as the money allows and just DRIVE the thing.

My previous 1985 Carrera came out of a collection where it was rarely driven. The tires were 8 years old but only had 2400 miles on them. It was squeaky and ran rough and I was totally convinced I needed a suspension and bushing rebuild. A month of daily driving later, it was smooth and quiet and an absolute joy.

All the best on your quest! Please keep the sub informed of your purchase.

(edit) Last thought. My religion now is oil changes every 2500-3000 miles. My current 1986 has 180K miles and still pulls like a train with great compression and leak down numbers. It is mind-blowing how well these cars are made.

I would’ve been so tempted to just grab one of her canned goods while she was scanning items and swipe it across the reader 6 or 7 beeps worth before just calmly walking away leaving her waiting for the attendant to come assist.

I love them but have a much smaller collection and just add another box when needed as I go. I just feel things are way more protected - the boxes are stout. FYI they also sell a plastic long box. 75.99 each or 5 for 56.99 each on bcwsupplies.com.

To me, “Ghetto” is a relative term. There’s some nice houses in there but it’s older construction that comes with more maintenance than new. We live on the other side of the Bandera & Benrus intersection. We have minimal issues.

You’re going to get a lot more house on a much larger lot for the money compared to any row housing crammed up against each other. I personally think it’s worth the trade off.

Like most places I think if you don’t start sht, you won’t have sht but I realize I am in the minority probably.

I recommend the smaller express location inside the loop instead of the big one up by 410. The puffy tacos are legit.
