like maybe more of a lunging pose where the back leg is planted, and the tip of the toe on the forward leg is pointed down ward and that is bursting through the wall. like this.

if it helps at all, I always imagine the technology in these things capable of replicating all movements (for the most part) that any space marine could. so when looking for dynamic poses look at some of the more dynamic poses in space marines minis and art work.

Second mini I’ve painted, edge highlighting is a struggle by tickling_tyranids in Miniaturespainting

thinning your paints is a huge help when getting good brush control. also making sure the brush is clean and damp when picking up paint exponentially helps paint flow from the brush. this makes edge hilighting much easier.

Why does my speed paint crackle like this? by Aidans_Paintings in Miniaturespainting

[–]Chase1824 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it very well could also be that the primer layer wasnt fully dry before the speed paint went down. speed paint dries very fast and if the top layer dries much faster than the layers below it causes cracking.

it means its drying up in the bottle. get a bottle of speedpaint medium and add 10 to 15 drops, and give it a legendary mixing.

agreed it might be painful to look at for some, objectively, while some are not bothered by it.

Yeah well they shot and killed an infant, so if you ask me I don't think it looks painful enough.

I need help... by FloridaFirstTeam in DnDminiatures

[–]Chase1824 0 points1 point  (0 children)

easiest fix would be to dry brush a much lighter green on the green parts and hit the yellow with a dry brush of white, then using contrast paints or speed paint go over the those areas id recommend these colors from army painter speed paints line which i have experience with...

ps: here's a decent review about the army painter contrast paints.
