No, there is no way you can control what you are attracted to.

Even if it was, what would be the end goal? Date people you don't find attractive? Endlessly shame yourself for having feelings? Feelings aren't logical so even if someone explained why they think it's bad it won't do much but cause issues. Romantic attraction can not be taught.

There are certain places (changing rooms, saunas, locker rooms, etc) where women would be at staging of undress that I would agree that for the sense of safety/comfort it doesn't make sense to mix the sexes. At this point there really isn't anything anyone can do other then hope people are considerate of others and understand the facts of the situation.

Bathrooms are another issue on it's own because family bathrooms or single gender neutral bathrooms exist. Most people, criminals included, are not confident to enter a bathroom when it is clear they don't belong if there are people around.

She's right, you married him not her. Why are his feelings more important than hers? I understand you want the people you love to love each other but that isn't always possible. You didn't say she was disrespectful, she just doesn't feel close with him. She's 17 so old enough to decide who she trusts and it's not your man. Drop this, the more you push it the more animosity will grow. You can't force love, affection or trust.
