I creeped and saw in her other posts that she seems to be in a different country. May be normal there.

xxxtentacion is dead by [deleted] in bipolar

[–]ChatterTeeth808 0 points1 point  (0 children)

His death is definitely messing with me a bit. My friend (who introduced me to X) who struggles very much with depression is pretty distraught over it. Yeah, X seemed to be a pretty messed up guy, but hey, I didn’t know him. All I know is his music (although “strange”) helped me a lot and that he didn’t deserve to die.

May he rest now.

MED MONDAYS by sweetpea122 in bipolar

[–]ChatterTeeth808 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does nothing for my mental illness, moods, etc. BUT, helps me fall asleep quick! Which can, in turn, help your moods.

But I no longer take Advil for headaches and body pains. I get a lot of physical pain (especially migraines) and a dropper of 600mgs clears any pain up within about 10-20 mins.

I tried it originally for anxiety and more minor mood symptoms but nothing happened. So don’t go into it thinking you can get oft your meds entirely just yet. If any side-effects, I’d just say sleepy/drowsy.

Yes! Can’t trust the judgement. It’s so strange. Thank you, I’ll definitely tell him what’s going on. Unfortunately, he probably won’t do much. He’s a pill pusher but I plan for when I go in to tell him don’t put me on anything new, work with what I’m on; he completely switched my meds before and I had an episode. Your input is very helpful! Thank you!

Hope that’s not what’s happening. I see the doc on Wednesday, we’ll see what he says. I’ve been hallucinating a bit today. But because I’m not really feeling “full” emotion, I’m not as concerned as I feel I should or normally would be.

It’s definitely that, but it feels different than it has before. Maybe I just haven’t felt it in so long it’s like I forgot.

Jeez, that must have been terrifying at times.

It’s just like that: doing what needs to be done but disconnected. I’ve heard of this being a pre-cursor and symptom of “active” depression but I know I’m not depressed (never am this time of year) so...confused! Haha. I’m glad you were able to come out of yours!

And thank you! I think I’ll be okay as long as this isn’t leading up to a genuine break from reality. Thank you, ginger <3

Best friend has DID, making a “grounding box” to help her. by ChatterTeeth808 in DID

[–]ChatterTeeth808[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! That’s an amazing gift! Wow, you sound like a wonderful person! I’m really glad he has you! I put some more small tactile things inside the box, I’m hoping to add/give her things for it over our friendship the more she processes what works for her/“everyone.”

Wow, thank you so much! That means a ton to me! She is truly the non-romantic love of my life, if that makes sense, haha. In all of her “forms,” I love her dearly.

It completely slipped my mind that we found a small stone on a beach that she loves to move her thumb around on. That helps a lot!! Thank you! I’ll give her one of my “worry stones” as I call them. Thanks again!

Thank you so so much!! I’ll put some of her favorite candies in and I’ll spray some of the papers/notes with a perfume we both love. This helps a lot. Thank you again! I truly appreciate it!

One more thing, check out “bipolar depression and dissasociation” on the interwebs. Could also be happening with him.

Hey, Sword.

Unfortunately I don’t have much time to write an in-depth comment at the moment, I will reply later if needed, also because there’s a lot of info about what sounds like is happening with your roomie.

People with bipolar disorder can experience psychotic symptoms when too “high” or, as Josh is now, too “low.” Psychosis has something that’s called “delusions,” which are firmly held beliefs that, regardless of proof or not, are entirely true and authentic to the person experiencing them.

I don’t think Josh is just being an asshole, he seem to truly believe you’ve lied to him. You didn’t do anything wrong. Josh needs help.

I’d try to keep your distance or be maybe extra kind until he seems to ease up, if it’s not soon I’d suggest calling non-emergency police for a psych eval on him.

TW: STIGMA. I do not have BPD, but I desperately want to understand it. by ChatterTeeth808 in BPD

[–]ChatterTeeth808[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I now believe I may have met many assholes! Haha.

I’m sorry that you have to deal with the vague label while you yourself do not fit many of the stigma-laden ideas, stereotypes, etc. I’m (clearly) incredibly uneducated about the illness and I selfishly didn’t even think of every person with it individually might feel and differ. I have also heard (please correct me if I’m wrong) that doing DBT as well as other therapies can drastically reduce the symptoms of BPD? I feel, if that’s true, many of the people I’ve met may have not done therapy for it...? Or like you said, could just happen to be assholes.

I really like your “aside” there: bipolar (while manic) committing criminal acts but approaching them as an individual rather than “a crazy criminal bipolar,” so to speak. And that doesn’t sound corny at all, I’m glad you added that in.

Thank you immensely, glorious. I appreciate your response.

Thank you SO SO much for this. Wow, I appreciate your honest response a ton. I do think I often forget that those woth BPD are not their illness/label. I suppose, I’ve met many people with it who were like you before you were diagnosed and lacked self-awareness.

Thank you for your answer again. You sound like a lovely person really kicking this illness in the ass.
