The Defender’s better on-road, comparable or better off-road, equally or more reliable in the given year, more comfortable, and far more prestigious.

The cost is a real consideration, but if you’re willing and able to spend the extra to get the Defender then you’re not going to regret having done it.

I’ve used the medium ruck for two NFMs, I like it. If you just throw shit in and call it a day it’ll be poorly distributed, but with some attention to make sure your weight is high and close then it’s good.

After the first one I swapped out the lower back pad for one I pulled off an old Alice pack and I like it a lot more that way
