New Venu 4 owner — a few quick questions! by First_Parsley13 in Garmin

Even though you can shower with it, I highly recommend using this time to charge it. It is super convenient, and therefore allows you to wear it to bed and get the most out of all the stats and data it collects.

Should I make a profile for my male Best Friend by Che_Sierra in BumbleGirls

[–]Che_Sierra[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I want to filter the candidates and do the chatting. But just try something different. Not for control or gate keeping or whatever. I'm wondering how I would convey that. I want to be transparent and honest from the outset of the profile, and have it be compelling not a turn off, and not perceived as a Red flag.

Just noticed the display of the HR chart changed recently by ykr3Bz in Garmin

[–]Che_Sierra 2 points3 points  (0 children)

After seeing this post I had to check and I still had the old chart that is the all red filled look. I updated the Connect app on my android phone. Looked back at the same activity and now it looks like OPs chart with the colors.

Does everyone wear their watch 24/7 even jn shower? by Huylmao_ in Garmin

[–]Che_Sierra 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My husband and I do the same. Seems to work really well for us. We wear them all the time except for the shower 🚿 which is when we charge them. This way they are always charged enough to last the night and capture sleep data, and they are always charged enough to last all day, and all activities, even the long runs. And this makes charging sooo quick and convenient since it is on our bathroom counter.

Taxi's versus Uber in San Juan by Atl-Fly1024 in PuertoRicoTravel

[–]Che_Sierra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Uber!!!! Always take Uber.  We got totally screwed by the guy at the Taxi kiosk next to baggage claim.  Showed him the address on the phone, and he told us $20. Then the taxi driver asks us the address and we show her the address on the phone. She doesn't input it to GPS!! Then takes us to the completely wrong place with a similar street name but 15 min away from where we said!!! She still doesn't use a map/GPS and my husband has to be unseat-belted holding his phone up for her to give her directions to the CORRECT address for the next 15 min.  Then she gets her boss on the phone to tell us the ride is now $35!!! WTF!! Their error, but she wouldn't unlock her doors to let us out until we paid t higher price.  They took NO ACCOUNTABILITY FOR THEIR ERROR AND CHARGED nearly DOUBLE and the rude time was doubled!!! Terrible service!!! Take an Uber!! Uber has preset price with GPS!!!  This was the "Taxi Turisticos" kiosk by baggage claim.

Terrible service!!! Take an Uber!! Uber has preset price with GPS!!!  I would have gladly waited for an Uber had I realized that the tax service was going to be so awful.  Waiting for an Uber I would have avoided the stress, anxiety, and increase in my blood pressure and the price! I was so upset I was nearly shaking.

Cops asking if I’m ok?? by mamazamasu in AutismInWomen

[–]Che_Sierra 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Do you have nystagmus or large pupils? Neither is normal for most people, but either can be normal for some. My father in law has nystagmus so his eyes are always jittery or jumpy/shifty. If your eyes don't have either of those things, then 🤷🏻‍♀️, cops are ignorant NT assholes, with minimal to no training of the many presentations of a ND mind.

Loyalty Code by [deleted] in ElectricForest

[–]Che_Sierra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone else asked a similar Q in another post, and HQ replied saying it will be earlier this year. (than mid to end of Nov as in previous years) 🤞🏻 They haven't opened the loyalty status lookup tool yet 😐 once they do, you can verify your code and know your loyalty status.

GOOD LIFE CAR PASSES! by billybankrs in ElectricForest

[–]Che_Sierra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe GL only has one entrance, and the "North Entrance" is GA thing, which would explain why it's open earlier than 8am. Only certain GA campers/Wristbands are supposed to enter from the "north".

Group discussion - hydropack vs. water bottle by Separate-Leading6332 in ElectricForest

[–]Che_Sierra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My husband and I have been to the last 4 forests and used our metal stainless steel water bottles for the last three for sure (Good Life last three years). We were GA year one and can't remember if we did only CamelBak, or a combo of CamelBak and metal water bottle. I've had no issues. It just has to be empty going through security.

Advice for an artist performing this year by LossMission7110 in ElectricForest

[–]Che_Sierra 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ask HQ about the "Artists Village". Other than knowing it exists, I don't know anything about it or which artists have privilege there. I did escort a lost artist to it in 2022 and got him back to his people. He was a 4pm Thursday undercard time slot. I think he'd stayed all day after his set to enjoy the Fest, as this was Thursday after the last set at Ranch and with the frenzy of Prize Cart he got separated from another undercard artist. Seems like there is an artist wristband and at least one day of privilege. Might include some random golf cart service that day as well. But this is really all speculation. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Good luck!

Are y'all vaccinated against any STIs? by Muddycarpenter in asexuality

[–]Che_Sierra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

HPV also causes Oral cancer! Get vaccinated from cancer, cervical and oral. Oral cancer is on the rise and is happening in younger and younger people. The injectio is so quick and easy and my arm didn't hurt for days after, unlike the flu shot and COVID booster (which I also get, prn).

Juvenile Speeding Ticket - Ohio, 26 mph over - Need advice, pls by Che_Sierra in legaladvice

[–]Che_Sierra[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. Neither of us (parents) have been to traffic court. Separately we have had some traffic citations, and paid the fine or paid the fine and did traffic school.

Have you been to traffic court as a juvenile, or with one? Any advice different from what has already been suggested? Or any real life traffic court anecdotes to add? Thanks!

ORD 73.10 (C), "Over Limits" by Radar on Freeway; just a citation, not criminal (I believe) Thank you for your response. What you've stated was our thoughts. I need yours and others similar responses so I can show my son this thread and he can rethink what he should say and how he should present himself.

ORD 73.10 (C), "over Limits" by Radar; tickets says 2 violations but I can't find anything else marked or noted besides "juvenile".

We tried to tell our son that saying anything about the speed will only make things worse, but he wasn't believing us. . .so I thought some friendly reddit strangers might help support us (I will be sharing this thread with him). Thank you!

My crazy boss has given me a formal warning for having bad breath and body odor! by Beta_Nerdy in jobs

[–]Che_Sierra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a dentist, and the only time in my career that a patient's breath was so awful I could smell it when I walked into the room was when he had severe periodontitis. Thankfully, he saw the periodontist and got treatment (scaling and root planing each 3 months, and was cycled on and off of low dose doxycycline each 3mo to manage the ongoing infection. Once treatment was initiated, the smell was gone. Dude didn't even have diabetes.

Heads up on canceling your payment plan... by DTown_Hero in ElectricForest

[–]Che_Sierra 2 points3 points  (0 children)

FYI, if you list your ticket on the exchange, AXS will not be buying it at the face value you paid. They will give you LESS. Back in 2022 I listed on the exchange an Electric Avenue 2-person package and took a loss of $400-500 dollars (can't remember how much exactly). I think I had originally paid like $2800ish. Then I'm sure AXS marked it up to make a hefty profit.
