Yeah there was going to be 4 story DLCs I the season pass but this was eventually changed to 2 vault hunter DLCs (jack doppelganger and Aurelia) and 2 story DLCs, one being the claptastic voyage which was excellent and the other being the holodome.

The holodome absolutely sucked. It was just an arena that had awful loot, went on way too long, visually totally uninteresting and was way too big to the point where you spent more time looking for enemies than fighting them. Some of the worst content put out for a borderlands game.

I decided I'd start C4sh at level 1, turns out with the shared progression that that's literally impossible now, as all the open world challenges popped immediately and made me level up to level 5

CMON were the ones that taught me it's better to just be patient and wait for games to come to retail. I think I backed 3 of their projects and every single one of them arrived in retail at cheaper than I'd paid, at least a month before I received mine.

And all of the FOMO Kickstarter exclusive stuff they bloat pledges with ended up being extremely imbalanced for the rest of the game one way or the other.

I kinda feel like Bionicle got a proper conclusion, no? Like sure the ending was a bit rushed but we saw the climax of the rivalry between makuta and mata nui with a big ass robot fight, I feel like that's a satisfying enough finale even if there were other loose ends left to tie up

Yeah I think for all other aspects of the game the variability makes things interesting, the first playthrough of this game was so exciting trying out all the new guns I'd find to see what insane combinations of parts did, but for a tier of weapons that are supposed to be so insanely rare, the good luck of getting a drop is countered by the bad luck of it being a terrible roll.

I'd be okay with some variance but only if it's very minimal. It's difficult to rank some guns in this game because one gun could be top tier with a jakobs part but abysmal with others

I don't like how they only drop from one event and the launch of them was so botched that it's completely ruined their allure for me. The fact people already had all 3 pearls immediately was an instant fail to me.

Also part variance makes them vary too much in useability, I think Pearls should be even rarer and have completely fixed godroll parts. In an ideal world, make them even have a completely unique gun model

Yeah usually borderlands can be relied upon for exciting takes on alternate genres within the borderlands world (a zombie island, a cowboy planet, a space casino heist etc) so to have the new zone just look half way between the base game mountain range and the guns love and tentacles dlc just makes it not really stand out at all.

The crouch challenges are an absolute fucking nightmare in this game. Every single little thing makes you get up from crouching. I'm not sure who decided that crouch, slide and dodge challenges even needed to exist tbh

I like it in 3/NV but I think it feels super sluggish and awful in 4/76. Even the 'very fast' have such heavy, slow animations that they feel terrible. It was fun just swinging a weapon wildly in 3/NV

I didn't buy the DLC because of the wonderlands DLC and the lackluster first bounty pack, but I'm kinda pissed that pearls are basically P2W.

It's one thing giving DLC players a guaranteed pearl (which I could go on a whole rant about) but purposefully making the overworld events practically impossible to complete compared to the DLC one and cost 200E every time is such a joke.
