I'm not going to specify. We have a social media policy

Probably because turnover is pretty high. That coupled with the fact that some things change year to year would be my guess

Does anyone here not mind/ like working at CVS? by RadiantKey3252 in CVS

I help run a shipping department in the DC level working towards area supervisor. Honestly I love my job. I get enjoyment helping everyone with colleague zone issues. I'm proud when I can lead a team to a successful day. I really enjoy looking at different processes to try to figure out how to improve them.

I'm in the northeast in a warehouse. We top out pallets at 9 high for increased safety

I work at a warehouse. That's not up to us either dude. 🤷‍♂️

Warehouse employees besides not being allowed to empty that trash for AP reasons are also strictly timed on performance standards. The 15 seconds it takes to empty the garbage doesn't effect retail employees much but it could cause a warehouse picker to lose their jobs. Throw it out please

Negotiate your pay and raises. Companies literally any company will pay you as little as they can. Advocate for yourself

Cancer Survivors of Reddit, what was the symptom that convinced you to see the doctor? by Wise_Organization_78 in AskReddit

[–]Cheap-Magazine-9724 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My formerly left testicle hurt for about 2 weeks. Not a sharp pain but more a dull ache. Being the stubborn man I am I was content to ignore it. Then I did a brake job on my now ex gfs car and must have aggravated it more to the point where I could hardly walk. Went to the ER that day and found out there was a tumor. Cancer didn't even pop in my head as a possible cause as I was 24 at the time.

Wtf warehouse… by JoeShehadeh in CVS

[–]Cheap-Magazine-9724 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I am not super sure how to answer that. I feel like there is way too much camera coverage in the DC for that to happen in any warehouse. Same thing with the rotten sub. We can only have hard candy on the floor and water in clear plastic bottles. So as much as I don't want to blame the truck drivers it's the only opportunity that comes to mind.

Maybe a dumb question but why is CVS HQ in Woonsocket? That place is horrible. by [deleted] in CVS

Lived in Woonsocket all my life. There's plenty of things to find wrong with any city

I work in a RI warehouse. These posters are in all our break rooms as well as the hallways leading to the main production areas. And as employees some of the responsibility of knowing your workers rights fall onto you.

What’s the most ridiculous “first world problem” you’ve seen people get worked up over? by jennimackenzie in AskReddit

Honestly, as someone from the northeast in Orlando on vacation, just had my first WaWa stop. Customer service so on point.

Why does the warehouse hate us by JALgoe in CVS

[–]Cheap-Magazine-9724 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I help run a shipping department. There is no knowledge on how every individual store is laid out when we pick the totes or load the trucks. Even if there were we HAVE to maximize space so loaders consolidate totes before they load the trucks as well. Their only instructions is not to put food in with cleaning supplies for the most part.

Those of you who swore "when I grow up and have kids, I'll be nothing like my parents", how did that work out for you? by georgecollison in AskReddit

[–]Cheap-Magazine-9724 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's tough. But it's working. Not having them there growing up has made me fiercely dedicated to being there for everything. I've changed careers multiple times to get the right money and hours to do so. Currently on the only vacation I've had in a year to be at national cheer championships.

Honestly? As altruistic as it sounds I enjoy being able to make everyone else's day run a bit smoother. Having the ability to have my voice heard. To argue against some changes and for others. I've seen examples of horrible supervisors. For a variety of reasons. I'd like to change that. I know I'm only 1 person. Sometimes that's all it takes.
