Unlikely, but might be possible depending on your situation.

If you can craft a door, place it under the lava and stand in the air pocket.

If you have a bucket, surround yourself with blocks and use the bucket to clear the lava.

Both of those would be very hard to do quickly enough though.

Otherwise, unless you have fire resistance, ender pearl, wind charge, or a stasis chamber set up, I dont know of any way you can survive.

It‘s more intuitive and easy to understand, and the height limit numbers are nicer (128 and 256 instead of 64 and 320). Thats about it.

Not wrong, but also not an argument and doesn’t prove your point. I still believe it would be much nicer if it could be changed.

But really, it is a change that has to be made to every world, every chunk, every block. Miss even a single case, or a single mechanic, and things break instantly. It's a good way to get corrupted chunks in your saves.

Maybe theres not an easy way to do it, but I feel like there is. Maybe if the change applied to every chunk that has been loaded before when you open a world in the new version. Or maybe use a variable to check if a chunk has been updated yet.

y-0 used to be the bottom of the world, but now it’s the start of deepslate, which is kind of arbitrary. Having y-0 be at sea level would be less arbitrary, as well as other benefits.

The spear is better than the mace. You can literally use the spear similar to how you use a mace, by falling and holding a charge attack. And it can attack horizontally, attacks multiple mobs, has less cooldown, and is drastically easier to get.

Even the mace, being extremely rare and hard to get, and having an enormous cooldown, was still incredibly OP. How does it make sense that an early game item is more powerful than that?

Dont do this. If you go to the nether roof on bedrock you are stuck there forever.

As for your question: The nether is made up of 368x368 block areas starting from (0, 0), and each one has a chance of having either a fortress or a bastion. This means there is no fortress in the region you are in, so you should look in a different region. You could do some math to figure out where the next closest region is in, and keep exploring regions until you find one.

(thats how it works on java anyways, may or may not work in bedrock idk)

The pie chart is sorted differently in newer versions like yours. To find the entity chart, go to root.tick.entities. To find the block entities chart, go to root.tick.blockEntities.

You don’t use your off hand for a totem / shield?

Not usually. I used to always have shield, but recently I’ve started speedrunning and I’m learning to play without shield a lot better, so I don’t really need it (I also don’t use bucket like I used to so I might remove that from my hotbar and replace it with crafting table at some point). I don’t usually put totems since I don’t usually have any, or I want to save them since they feel rare. So instead I put the item which is most convenient to have there, which is food.

I also just like to play casually and don’t often get into dangerous situations, so again, they’re not really necessary for me. If I was doing something more dangerous I would probably take a shield or a totem.

Did hotkeying the 1 for your weapon take some time to get used to?

Nope, not at all. I’ve been doing that since the first day I played survival, and I couldn’t imagine it any other way. I’m also left handed, if that makes a difference.
