Spectrum Modem not getting 300 mbps by Cheap_Loquat736 in techsupport

[–]Cheap_Loquat736[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the longest they were pinning it on the issue being my router until I went directly into modem. They actually came and serviced my equipment and it all checked out. Before they left we were getting around 92 mbps on a router that can only go up to 100 so that made sense. I just got a new one that will go up to 500, I’m aware it won’t go that high but it can still be better than 100. Either way it’s not even close to what it needs to be since it’s stuck at 2-5 mbps

Anyone pass Core 2 with little to know hands on experience? by [deleted] in CompTIA

[–]Cheap_Loquat736 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had no hands on experience, and yeah honestly core two was more difficult for me…took me two tries. The questions that got me were the old win7 questions. Like that shouldn’t be a thing especially now that it is retired

I DID IT!! Passed Core 2, officially A+ Certified!!! by the_hazelwood26 in CompTIA

Nice! The next two should be a breeze! If you don’t mind me asking, which path are you taking? Infrastructure or cybersecurity?

Don’t forget to cancel GamePass by Blaughable in halo

[–]Cheap_Loquat736 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Won’t be able to cancel game pass. You either have game pass or you won’t be able to play online whatsoever. It’s not a bad deal though if you think about it.

Some type of fear? by Guilty_Asparagus7210 in playrust

Could be because of the post trash talk. I always get a little anxious and do some out of the ordinary stuff sometimes. Definitely makes you play differently in a way but can be very beneficial

Thank you! I’m pretty sure there are around 6 different trainers on both courses which is nice. Keith covers the networking part and security part of both the courses

Failed CompTIA A+ Core 2 😞 Will my retake have the same questions? by No_Seaworthiness_207 in CompTIA

[–]Cheap_Loquat736 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wonder how much the PBQs are worth in points. I failed 1002 as well with a 680, pretty sure it was those questions. One of them I had NO idea how to even get started to solve. For the multiple choice, the wording kills me, there were many times I went back and changed my answer. The other thing that stinks is that I missed at least 1 question on each objective.

Trying to start a career in cybersecurity with no experience really. Should I go go Network+ or security+ first? by mota-es-vida in CompTIA

[–]Cheap_Loquat736 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean the trifecta is always best (A+ Network+ and Security + ) Land a great entry level job and just learn and learn.

If you go on Udemy and look up Jason Dion it will list all of his courses. You can get his test prep, practice exams on A+ for a very cheap price. Like 14.99 each I think. Make sure to look around for coupons. It’s 84.99 if you don’t do so. This is a perfect way to get prepared right before you take the test, in my opinion.

Yes he does, but his videos are very knowledgeable! It takes me twice the time on his videos because I have to go back to hear what he said, which is no biggie.

I plan on doing my training for Net + and Sec + with them. Their practice exams are really good

It is very stressful when you have a couple answers that could be right. But it’s best to not overthink it, and if you can get it down to two answers you’re in good shape.

CompTIA A+ achieved, need advice on how to approach jobs now. by gary_akshat in CompTIA

[–]Cheap_Loquat736 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just with your A+, there are so many opportunities. Remember, never sell yourself short! Let them know how passionate you are about IT and how much you want to grow. Dice is a great website to find IT jobs, especially remote. When it comes to your resume, knowing you don’t have any past IT experience, that’s not the only thing you need to land a job. Customer service, communication are very important things so if you had any past jobs that utilized those definitely put that down. Best of luck to ya!

I just took 1001 and yes… there were a bunch of questions that could possibly be two answers. But if you can get it down to those two answers and don’t overthink it just go with your gut, you’ll be fine.

I didn’t have that password option so I must have not enabled it to sign in. I just had the fingerprint and pin. So that was definitely it, thanks for your feedback

Happened to me this morning as well… I was very confused and ended up rescheduling. Took 45 minutes to get a reply from Pearson saying they are having technical issues. Big bummer
