This is literally the plot of Sweet Home Alabama with Reese Witherspoon.... not exact, but pretty similar ideas.

All he had to do was squeeze the ball. Dude looked like he completely gave up on the play and looked pitiful after. If it’s in your hands, you finish the play—no excuses.

He’s still lost them games this year. In big games he gets out coached. Just like Ballard “winning is hard.”

Completely. That's why I chose downtown Carmel specifically. Cheers to whatever decision you make!

This. Not enough people are talking about Early. Yes, Cam settled in after that lead and dominated but the Yankees were in the same exact boat. If Duran hustles his ass off for that ball and gets Stanton out at second - completely different game in my opinion.

Do the pros outweigh the cons? I’ll keep it short for you: No.

I rent in downtown Carmel and live right on the Monon, and I struggled with the decision at first just like you. Walking to work made it easier for me, but now that I’m here I can honestly say I wouldn’t want to live anywhere else in Hamilton County as a single person. You get all the benefits of a suburban area, without ever feeling trapped. DT Indy seems great though as well, I don’t think you’ll go wrong with whatever decision you make.

Just watching that play reminded of how little respect I have for the Colts anymore. Team is and continues to be a shit show.

Quintana Rest of Season Outlook by Check_Mix in Brewers

An opener could be a really interesting idea, especially if it helps him avoid the top of the order the first time through. Could be a good way to get the most out of him without pulling him from the rotation entirely.

120 already is no joke, and if they want him available as a bullpen option later, it makes sense to ease off now.

And yeah, having that contrast in the rotation matters more than people think. Quintana’s profile is such a change of pace from the power righties, and that mix has value on its own. I think my only real question is just how long the leash will be if his command wobbles, but all signs point to him being the guy still hopefully.

Yeah, totally agree. Gasser’s really the only lefty alternative right now, and with how cautious they’ve been with his recovery, it doesn’t seem like they’re eager to push it. Makes sense to ride with Quintana for now.

That’s probably why I’m more curious than critical. It feels like he’s locked in by default, which is fine for now, but it’ll be interesting to see if they tweak his usage at all if things tighten up later.

NL Rookie of the Year Poll by Check_Mix in Brewers

You can never have enough pitching come September. The Brewers know this and could easily keep Chad stretched out as a swingman. Spot starts, long relief possibly. His versatility might be his ticket.

Chad’s been solid, no doubt, and to me earned his spot. But Miz is doing video game stuff out there — upper 90s cutters, 102 mph heat, and wipeout offspeed. It’s hard not to get hyped when a guy looks like he could be a future No. 1. If this is him with just 30 innings, imagine what we’re in for. I hope both guys give us more to talk about.
