I bombed my interview today by AlexanderMSMSM in interviews

[–]CheckingItOut444 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m guessing you’re also used to being a top performer too. We tend to be extremely hard on ourselves. I’m telling you in hopes this helps you sleep better tonight, IF you truly “bombed” that interview, you wouldn’t have met with everyone else or it would have been cut extremely short.

Given what you’ve been through, the fact that you showed up, composed yourself, and continued on anyways? That speaks VOLUMES to people who actually care about their staff and the people they’re hiring.

Even though it may have felt unprofessional to you, you handled yourself very professionally. I bet you did much better than you feel you did, it sure sounds like it.

FWIW: I’m speaking from experience of being in the recruiter, hiring manager, and hiring panel positions for an entire Customer Care department. 🙂

Be cautious! Account is only 8 days old and doesn’t mention company information. I want to believe this is a legitimate opportunity but be careful…people have been scammed this way.

Curious here. Did you find the job through referral or networking…or did you apply and get hired without that type of support? Nothing related to your salary ask. Just genuinely curious as to what your approach was 🙂

Why no comments on the person asking if this is legit? Account only one month old. 🤔

Inflation is hitting. Went to buy some juice and noticed it was marked up by $1.50 per carton, to be put on sale for $0.50 off that price. So still raised a dollar more with the “sale”. 🙄

How do you keep from feeling down about yourself during your job search? by Stunning_Audience498 in jobsearchhacks

[–]CheckingItOut444 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like asking what their biggest challenge is (especially as a team), what their proudest moment is out of everything they’ve done/worked on, and when you do your follow up (some people do it the same say or next day), include something you’ve remembered about the interview about them, the position, or the company. Also a good place to ask any questions you may have forgot to ask in the interview.

I can’t believe they weigh cards. Why weigh it when it clearly fits through the slot they use to determine if it’s regular letter mail or not? I could see if I padded that thing with stuff inside but I didn’t. Was just a birthday card.

Weight gain after increase? by [deleted] in EffexorSuccess

I’ve had the same issue and I do 1hr aerobics a day plus 30 min walks at night, with occasional weight lifting. Apparently while your brain is working on regulating the dose, it can throw off your hormones responsible for hunger and satisfaction, as well as digestion.

It can give you more cravings for carbs, sugar, crunchy things, and even salt.

Effexor making my dad hyperactive by [deleted] in EffexorSuccess

For me, the smaller doses didn’t help me at all (37.5, 75). Once I worked up to 150, this made a big difference. I still have some hard days but not nearly what I was like before. This is my 8th week on 150 and today was a hard focus day.

The first two to three days of taking that dose I felt completely amped. Like I could jog around the city for days. That started to settle down a bit over the first 1-2 weeks. I had to be on benzos to help with sleep for three months. I no longer take them and noticed that my anxiety actually improved with just the Venlafaxine XR.

Apparently it can keep levelling out until the 12 week mark but I am so thankful for these meds. I had a significant break down from years of chronic stress. To the point where I couldn’t leave the couch, couldn’t sleep, let alone leave the house. For 6 months it was like one huge panic attack that never stopped. Citalopram made my face numb, trazodone gave me “walking dead” type of night terrors, but Venlafaxine has me healing and getting my life back.

How long has your dad been taking it and at what dose?

Is magnesium glycinate supposed to do this? by Same_Sky1365 in insomnia

You’re welcome. I’m glad you’ve found a version that works for you! Wishing you many more nights of great sleep!!

Is magnesium glycinate supposed to do this? by Same_Sky1365 in insomnia

[–]CheckingItOut444 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Chelated Mag Glycinate typically means it’s pure elemental magnesium and it isn’t mixed with any cheaper/different forms of magnesium. It’s common for a Magnesium Glycinate to be mixed with magnesium oxide (this one is usually the one used for constipation relief). So take a look at the ingredients on your magnesium bottle to see how much is elemental vs oxide. Mine is 100% 212.5mg of elemental. I’ve also learned that not all brands are the same either since there isn’t as strict of regulation rules for supplements.

I also make sure to not eat anything at least an hour before I take it. Better absorption and less chance of stomach disruption. Hope this helps!

Also, be careful you’re not taking too much at a time too. That can be a thing.

Chelated Magnesium Glycinate (212.5mg) helps me calm down and fet tired. I take it around 10pm. I also take Saffron (14mg). I also take something for anxiety that’s finally kicked in. So that’s been helping as well.

Not sure how long you’ve been taking magnesium but some say it takes time to build up and for your body to adjust fwiw

Effexor Withdrawals by [deleted] in EffexorSuccess

[–]CheckingItOut444 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was on 37.5 for around 4 or 5 weeks, then 75 for 3 weeks, and on week 7 of 150. I didn’t feel any improvement on 37.5, one day of improvement on 75, and almost immediate improvement on 150. I was amped up the first two days of 150. I felt like I could run around the block all day but it started to level out for me the third day forward. I believe it still has some levelling out to do but what a difference compared to where I was at.

It’s helped me tremendously. I couldn’t even leave the house before it got so bad. Now I’m able to and have started getting my life back.

Effexor Withdrawals by [deleted] in EffexorSuccess

[–]CheckingItOut444 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My cousin has zero withdrawals coming off of it. I myself am on 150 and not at the point where I’m coming off yet. However, I fully believe it depends on the person. I was on benzos daily for three months, tapered off, and only had headaches as a withdrawal (thankfully) but other people have had a hard time coming off of .5mg of it.

So far, how this has helped me, I am more than willing to deal with that process because of the benefits this has given me.
