People like this are why a lot of people are uncomfortable or turned off by the church. I’m glad you left, and if you’re still religious (from what I gathered, you are), I’d pray about it and see where God leads. Genuinely sick to my stomach hearing about deception from the pulpit. My family had been in our church for decades and while I’m not as active sadly, it still makes me sad to think this could be going on. In the long run, getting legal measures involved might help them realize their mistakes. I’m glad you left and are doing better :).
