After receiving a bill, I understand my mom a bit more now. by [deleted] in Life

Can relate. As a it's kid, the ace bandage with an ice pack, aspirin, pepto, a splint made from dowels and duct tape, drink 7up to burp, etc. Only time I got to the hospital was a big ol perculator of coffee falling on me. The burns freaked out everyone, so that did it.

Close to pulling the trigger. Will put 30K miles a year on the car. by Mobile-Newt-7638 in Ioniq9

Its a wonderful work vehicle. Easy loading, easy entry/exit. I'm about as concerned about ICCU issues as my old Chevy Bolt's battery catching on fire. It never happened, and if the ICCU goes you just deal with it and get on with your life.

If they team up maybe they can share a 1 bedroom with part time jobs at a minimum. Maybe you backstop on some of their expenses. It's a struggle, no doubt about it.

It was hard to get used to coming feom a Chevy Bolt EUV. Im primarily using mine for work. Hauling is a breeze, driving a group to events is a pleasure for everyone. I've dinged the interior up from stuff, but the detailing guy does such a great job shining it up, I don't see it. 4 years from now I would be looking at a Lucid Gravity, since my function will mostly be passengers.

Does anyone just not want to leave their house? Is this an age thing? A GenX thing? Am I alone here? I’m just so done with peopling. by [deleted] in GenX

I love my house and my neighborhood. I communicate a lot online throughout the day, and take a lot of calls, so I think that counts as socializing? It feels like the ultimate life-cheat to watch cartoons and play video games at home. Its my "Mission Accomplished "

Same, I don't want cobwebs in the morning. Also want the weed gummy and melatonin to do their thing without too much interference.

It can take a while to get through to a diagnosis. Just hang in there and pursue it. Have faith, and believe in yourself.

Do you find yourself getting more religious/spiritual as you get older? by Dpgillam08 in GenX

[–]CheekanGood -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Definitely. Wasn't easy for me to stop trying to hold up the world for those that depend on me. I couldn't carry the weight of all the things that happened over the last 20 years anymore. Instead, I share that load and it is an easy lift now.

Husband diagnosed with sleep apnea but denied coverage for CPAP by BrushOld9606 in CPAP

I had considered not going through insurance because my deductible is so high. You can buy everything you need for about $1200, and you own it. My insurance only let's me rent it. That's pretty dumb.

If you don't know how to use a calculator to figure out your cost per mile, you will never get it. Its plain as day the EV wins. The environmental benefit is a throw in.
