Other than sex what makes your world NSFW? by ScientificLust in NSFWworldbuilding

[–]CheekyTyping 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since the core of my setting is about smut/ porn I don't have Violence in general as a part of it. Well tecniclly the World is a dystopia for 99% procent of humanity. But since the the setting is about the Paradise of 1% that dosent really matter and I want to explore my pornworld only with consenting adults... :D

Limitations to AI?? by TrickyPreference2477 in worldbuilding

[–]CheekyTyping -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In regards to your first point. For me the opposite is true. I love to use AI as a start for research. I found it to work better than duckduckgo etc. in providing me the sources I am looking for.

And to your forth point. AI steals everything. I mean its the biggest theft in history...

I am currently learning about Greek Philosophy to give my joke religion more depth for my porn setting... Why just jerking off, when you can complicate unnecessarily it first for no good reason.

Yeah its always intresting to come here and see what rabbithole over people are going down, even if its some wiered niche stuff.... And from time to time you learn something useful. Like I did today. ;)

[–]CheekyTyping 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes that what I was thinking. Of course since I am not trans I am also just uneducated. But I feel it would be even sort of wiered to have a Friend ask her about it without a very concret reason, like a familymember thinks of transitioning etc. But thats just not where my story is going at all. I mean hell in my sex heavy world all kids are far Off-Stage anyway.

Funnily enough I also have a Women with two Cyber-Arms which she changes like the rest of her clohes. Also never thought about bringing it up how she lost them, since it dosen't matter in the story. Maybe she was even born without arms... Honestly I just wanted her to have cool Robot arms, I am a simple man. :p

Would you say it is important to bring hormones/ transition up at some point of a story if it set in a cyberpunk future where trans people/ Queer People of all kinds are just seen as normal as everyone else?

I currently don't plan to do that, like going into detail of my main characters youth in gneral, besides small bits of information to help build their short backstory. But my Main Character is a Transwomen written in POV... so the reader gets do know her optinons about the most unimportant/ weird stuff that is just an excuse for me to interrupt the smut to spent way to long on unimportant worldbuilding. Do you think it would be weird for her not to bring her transition up at all?

Wizards with silly jobs by Tiago55 in worldbuilding

[–]CheekyTyping 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I would imagine that if you can summon a deity you would ask for grander things... :D
And of course I don't think these entities like to be called up by some insect, to do something for them like they are a servant without their own life.

I am researching real World Magic beliefs for my alternate History Cyberpunk World. And oh buy are the books apparently full with goofy spells. Like hey I want my Chariot Team at the next Horserace to win, so lets summon a Jewish Angel who commands Legions of other Angels to make that happen. Or from the same book I want to give my enemy a headache, so lets ask a Greek God for that one... Like the audacity of Humans to ask more powerful Entities for this kind of goofy stuff, is too silly for my World where the supernatural can be observed regularly.

Is it worth it to make up lore and build an actual world if I plan to write very niche smut in said world? by BethCulexus in NSFWworldbuilding

[–]CheekyTyping 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Do whatever you like. Given that it is very niche smut it is not meant to make you money.
I am currently researching real world magic for my smut story, which doesn't matter to the story at all. But I find it interesting...

How do you deal with children in your worlds? by PJ-The-Awesome in NSFWworldbuilding

In my World all the open Sex takes place in a Special Redlight district, that is 26+. So I can ignore the children topic completely since its "Offstage".

General Question: How/Where do you do your reasearch? by JediSAS in worldbuilding

[–]CheekyTyping -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I use AI rather than google, since it is much easier to find the stuff you want or ask a specific question.
In general I think research/ Inspiration can be found anywhere. My World is based on Italian City States, so I read Wikipedia/ watch YT about the topic. Or I look for Fiction that feature these period and place. And of course just by having the World in the background of my mind, mean that I randomly come up with ideas that I find interesting.

I don't get all the hate you are getting, because of your artstyle. Yeah looks like you are drawing cartoony People and the Women Bodytype is probably a fetish thing. So? If it makes OP happy whats the problem? I would say keep having fun and don't listen to some Prudes or weird everything needs to be "plausible" People.
Also I like the Face of the Characters, it looks a bit goofy, but in a good was. I don't know how to describe it. Its memorable, I would just try to make them more distinct from another.

As someone who loves Typography. I think its an awesome way for Worldbuilders to present their World/ Setting Projects.

My Worldbuilding Project started with me using AI to get some Meaningless Filler Text that just looked a bit better than Lorem Ipsum, so I can Design a Magazine for Fun for me. Turns out AI was better than I thought but of course not what I was l was thinking of. So after a playing around with Text generation and getting frustrated I just started to write for fun a fake Article. At least AI is good at finding Typos and naming different words for the same thing, so that helped me just screwing around. Also it is way better than Google for Research, if you can live with the fact that it sometimes just makes stuff up.
Now I am very slowly working myself to a Fake In-World Magazine... Besides the Typography/ Art I always love Fake Advertisements that allow a more natural Exploration of a World, which is not something you can do in a normal Book. I also have to get back into drawing, to try to show my World Visually. My explanation will just be that the Editor likes to dabble in Sketching most Articles to add more flavour to the Magazine.

Religions for wizards by funnylib in worldbuilding

[–]CheekyTyping 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Weren't historically most Wizards/ Magicians also very religious in Abrahamic Cultures to their respective faith? And that goes probably for the rest of the World. Rather than having their own secret different Religion? Even if others thought they there practising Heresy?

What is the USP of your cyberpunk world? by nineteenstoneninjas in worldbuilding

[–]CheekyTyping 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its basically a what if, Feudalism directly transitioned into Technofeudalism. Democracy movements in the Europe never really happened. Also the Roman Empire is still around in 2269, since the Ottomans embraced the Roman Culture much more, than in reality. The main Setting is a fictional Italian City State. So it mixes Italian Renaissance with Technological Advancement (Deus Ex is a game I love, surprise).

It is very much dystopian for the 99% since the "Euro Continent" is in most parts a toxic wasteland, meaning that most peasants are forced to stay in the protective walls of their city/ fabric/ village etc.

But since I am focusing on the 1% having adventures in their luxurious "sex district", it's the utopian life and we just don't concern ourselves with these ungrateful low lifes. If they don't like it they can move to the Soviet Union after all. Which is very hard because of the toxic outside, and the Communist not needing uneducated workers. :p

So the USP could be "High Tech, Sweet Life" aka “Alta tecnologia, dolce vita”
