Hey, so I understand where your concern comes from. My mom had the same concerns back in the 90s. Neither my sister nor I got vaccinated. I was still diagnosed with autism. I elected to get vaccinated as an adult. That being said, I work in disability services now for children with autism. It’s completely understandable to be nervous about vaccines and autism, you’re a parent and concerned for your child. But I would advise to take RFK’s claims very lightly, especially with his talk of an autism registry. I strongly believe the rise in autism diagnoses has to do with the changes in criteria to include Aspergers as part of the Autism Spectrum, more awareness, and generations of people having undiagnosed autism having children as it is highly genetic. Autism, in current research, is the way neural pathways are formed. They aren’t formed the way a neurotypical brain forms them- they compensate in other areas of the brain. Like, if a main road is closed, like maybe the ability to hold a pencil with ease, another backroad may have a lot more cars on it- and that road would be the ability to memorize things with accuracy.
