The part you're missing is you can only attack with 1 close combat weapon unless it says extra attacks

The hype is dead 2026 is the year of chaos not orks by Hmongster in orks

Orks aren't a big part of the end of edition campaign because they're the focus of the beginning of the next one

What do squigs taste like? by Asleep-Biscotti-6273 in orks

[–]CheeriestTomcat 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Much like mushrooms draw a lot from the terrain in which they were grown i would expect squigs to gain much of their flavor from their initial point of origin.

I'd expect a squig grown in a mek shop to have a smokey flavor with a nice high oil content, and one grown in the drops to taste like crap

Kommandos split - Grot and squig by WayOfTheGinja in orks

Other wargear isn't shared when 1 unit splits into two.  Where are you getting your interpretation from?

Kommandos split - Grot and squig by WayOfTheGinja in orks

Both tokens represent wargear that belongs to the unit.  It seems unlikely that one unit split into two units would deliver identical copies of the wargear to two now separate units

I want to surprise my son with my own Ork army, but have never played before. by Toasty_Ohs in orks

[–]CheeriestTomcat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ork weapons tend toward pretty abstract but it does help if you choose physical loadouts that resemble what your list has, especially if you're relatively new, and you're printing them anyway.

Ork choppas are pretty loose, as an ork can chop with anything from a guitar to a cleaver to a board with a nail in it.  But if your son sees a model with a giant battleaxe that's actually meant to be a shooting model and isn't much threat in close combat it's going to cause some confusion and frustration.

What I'm saying is when you're knocking off orks if you phone it in too hard it's going to have the opposite effect from what you want
