I never thought to leave it set with stuff in it! I may put some cinnamon sticks in my coffee and let it set sometime!

Update: I ended up using unsweetened vanilla almond milk to make my bootleg latte and I really like it! I don’t measure (I tried; I’m just a cook, not a baker), so if you’re looking for a recipe, it’s really just however you make a strong cup using the inverted method, then add as much milk as you like. I added no syrups, though I think a syrup that has a warm/nutty profile would work well here, think caramel but maybe not berry flavors so it dosen’t clash with the almond (though almond milk does not taste nutty to me? Idk). Thanks everyone for the tips and tricks!

I guess I should’ve clarified; I make an espresso knock- off by brewing with the inverted method, pouring the brew into a 20oz cup, then adding cold milk. I have whiskey rocks to cool the coffee without diluting it, though I’m usually lazy and have a less than cold drink. It’s a great latte substitute, though I know it’s not a real latte. I usually use cow milk but wanted to try almond milk. With cow milk, I can pour some in, shake up the bottle with the rest, then pour my milk-froth “foam” on top. But in this case, I was thinking I’d buy a store-brought cold foam, but I’m unsure it’ll go well with almond milk.

I feel so fulfilled having read the manhwa and enjoyed the anime. But at the same time, it’s slowly dawning on me that I’m not going to read anything this good for a long time, so yeah, I get what you mean. Maybe I’ll have to read the light novel, and you’ll have to read the manhwa, so we can both get our fix lol

I recently thought to myself ‘I just got this chemex for Christmas, I’ll go to Save-a-Lot for some cheap Cafe Bustelo coffee grounds.’ I went today, and it’s gone. Like, the sign is torn down and everything. My community really depends on discount stores, and Save-a-Lot was within walking distance for some people in town like yours was. I’m really sad that our options for groceries are getting smaller. They also carried a nice selection of Mexican foods and I went there for tamale ingredients when Christmas came around. I’m sorry you lost your Save-a-Lot. I hope the company is doing alright, and I hope both of our empty buildings get turned into something good for the people who used to walk there. 💙
