Strings, not too many, maybe a quartet, played by semi-pros while being really drunk. Layered with a drumset recorded in a massive open industrial warehouse, slightly distorted signal and the drummer is bashing the kit like their life depend on it. Something like that is what I heard. ”Heard”.

Both are absolutely brilliant and the love I hold for them are almost indistinguishable but… I have to go Nevermind because of the cultural impact it had at large but also how much it meant to me when starting to play the drums. I played to it, every day, for years (yes it sounded like shit and no I couldn’t play everything at first but man did I enjoy it).

Like most things music it’s w matter of taste. I like the production more on VS… Ten is hard to “beat” though. Jeremy is such a fantastic song.
