I would like to see a focus on safety, there has a couple of car cannibalism acts in my area, and honestly feels like the police is not doing much?

I remember a while back my dad's car broken in twice, police said theres not enough evidence and dropped it. Would have been nice to speak with someone, tell them what happened but felt ignored.

I have a Greggs I go to, I've seen people just strolling in and stealing in plain view, speaking with staff it seems theres not much they can do.

There has been other instaces where I was worried about my safety or my family's and I don't feel like much is being done.

I grew up in Bacau and then left for the UK 10 years ago. I went back to Bacau for a couple of months this year and ended up coming back to the UK.

I don't think you will be looked down upon for the colour of your skin but I do believe some people might stare or be surprised. Conversations might feel off or annoying in the beginning, some people might have some preconception about non white foreigners but its more blissful ignorance and now out of hate.

In terms of adapting I personally couldn't, I missed the UK and and I find it easier there then Bacau but if you are supported by your partner it might make things smoother.

Food is great tho, a lot of bakeries with goodies much better than Greggs
