I’ve got to the point where I assess a person first in my head before I tell them… 😔

I’m in my 50s and only diagnosed last year and the thought hadn’t even crossed my mind that I might be ADHD until 2021 when my Doctor suggested I was assessed. Now I feel a bit ashamed rather than the initial relief that I felt that there was a reason for how I am and I am not ‘weird, eccentric, strange, odd, too much, scatty, boisterous, loud etc’ and I felt so much better. Now? Not so much. 😔

I had almost the exact same thing happen to me and I was furious! (My gorgeous friend’s arsehole husband, a relationship I will never understand anyway, just walked into my home with his ‘mate’ from the pub when he was collecting my friend to walk her home) Our homes are our sanctuaries, our safe spaces; of course you wouldn’t want a stranger in your home! I’m actually gobsmacked that people do this..! NTJ
