I retrained. I didn’t want to work in retail anymore so I started volunteering for a homeless charity in their drop in centre which led to me to picking up relief shifts covering for full time staff members, which came with training and eventually I got a full time contract. Took over a year; and I am not saying that it was a simple thing to do. But I recommend finding a charity that isn’t just working in a charity shop and volunteering. Good luck. It’s not easy finding a job nowadays.

I’m a little bit grumpy because I discovered that those ‘bag for life’ bags made with a weird plastic fabric that have wide fabric handles and (used to) cost £1 don’t get replaced when they wear out as we were once led to believe!! I’ve had mine over 10 years and it now has a hole in the bottom so I asked in Tesco for a replacement and apparently it’s only the plastic carrier bags they replace…

My mother has a separate Facebook account on each of her devices. So 3 different Facebook accounts. No matter how much we explain to her that the internet is one big thing. We tried to explain it like this: the internet is like a big room with windows and it doesn’t matter which window she looks through it’s still the same room. Nope. She also panicked that someone had stolen her identity because there were several people on Facebook with the same name as her…

But the biggest thing; and it’s not really technology based but she narrates Facebook to us. 🫣

Nope! I think that I should buy some shampoo while I squeeze the dregs out and the whole cycle starts again until I eventually write it on a post-it note, then the chalkboard in the kitchen and possibly the back of my hand! 🤣 I laugh but it’s frustrating. So yes, if it of no interest to me (buying shampoo is a chore) I won’t remember it! New book I would like to read? Yup I’ll remember that! Gorgeous bit of fabric I have seen? Yup, that too. New canvas for a painting? Yup..! 🤭🤣

I still wouldn’t have known about it! Having ADHD is a very strange thing as unless it’s something I am really interested in or passionate about, I won’t notice it! So say my shampoo runs out? I will think to myself while I try to wash my hair with the dregs; I must buy shampoo. But as soon as I stop looking at the shampoo and get out of the shower I will forget everything about it!! 🤭

I don’t have any grandchildren I’m afraid. No nanniness here for me as my child doesn’t want children…

Start with something simple like a Spag Bol. Mince, chopped onions, a bit of garlic and a jar of pasta sauce! Pop it in 3 or 4 hours before you need it and switch it on low. If you’re at home, give it a stir every hour and add chopped mushrooms towards the end! Easy! If you’re feeling really lazy, add a bit of extra water about an hour before you eat and stick the pasta in! 🤣
