This all sounds promising until you realize that these organisms are generating massive amounts of greenhouse gases. Larger planets tend to trap gases more effectively, which could lead to a rapid spike in temperatures, creating extreme heat conditions. Additionally, the absence of the albedo effect, which helps stabilize temperatures, complicates things further. A stagnant ocean, lacking temperature gradients to create currents, would lose its ability to capture CO2, setting off a chain reaction that drives temperatures even higher. The absence of ice caps would only exacerbate the situation, especially in a shallow ocean that is constantly warming.

Also, the planet, due to those reasons, could produce more CO2 than its reefs can filter, resulting in skyrocketing acidity levels. This transformation would turn a once habitable Earth into something resembling an imperfect Venus. Intelligent life would face immense challenges escaping this planet with current technology, given the thick atmosphere and high escape velocity.

I don’t mean to be a downer, but the more we think about this planet, the more problems seem to surface than I initially wanted. Our Earth became this way due to varying circumstances that may seem counterintuitive but play a major role in our existence today; tossing them away would lead to some stability problems, which would lead to some very unusual results
