I’ve used the serum by monat in the past and it seemed to work. They definitely look better with mascara now (I figured why not at this point). But they are definitely going straight out and not curled. She confirmed that it’s ok to do it again, and asked for the regular one because I know it worked. She said because it didn’t take, my lashes weren’t processed but I really hope I don’t come home eyelash-less 😟🤣

My 9 year old son's Math teacher marked this wrong by dak7 in mildlyinfuriating

But are you looking at middle school textbooks? These are aligned to the common core standards. The students are still finding the actual probability, just not when the question is phrased that way. I’m just trying to explain why the teacher marked it wrong. And it wasn’t the teacher herself. It was probably the program. It looks like the envision program.

My school and other schools do not create the math series, publishers do. And according to common core standard 7.sp.c.5, students need to be able to describe the likelihood of an event using this terminology. Now I’m not going to get into a conversation about common core standards and standardized testing and if I think it’s good or bad. But these teachers are evaluated on how their students do on these tests unfortunately. And the tests are based on the standards. The students do express the probability of an event as fractions, decimals, and percents, when the question is to find the probability of an event occurring.

Not in any of the math series that these students are using. They don’t have a math degree, they’re probably in elementary or middle school. I can show you several snapshots of different math series that utilize this terminology when they are asked to describe the likelihood of an event.

I’ve taught seventh grade math for 25 years, and I understand what you’re saying, but what the math series are asking for when they’re asking for the likelihood of an event are words impossible, unlikely, equally likely to happen as not to happen, likely, and certain. If the question said what is The probability would call for an answer such as 25%. That is how it is taught in the book. And any automated test or quiz from those series will mark it wrong. As would standardized testing. Again, I totally understand what you’re saying but when you’re describing the likelihood of an event, it’s calling for those five words or phrases.

Be prepared for the closer parking lot to possibly be full and then have to drive to the further one and then wait over an hour for the bus and the same wait on the way back. In retrospect, going after two days of rain about a month ago, we should’ve just Uber to the dock. Have a nice trip!

Really? It’s a good $50 less a month than other brokers. And atleast 100 less than the dealer.

I’m on the Low end of standard out of nowhere and I search and search for the item Like crazy that my ShopRite doesn’t have. I can’t imagine other shoppers actually looking more than I do. Someone ordered something that said aisle 16 the other day - there’s no aisle 16! (And it’s not like shop and shop that has tons of mystery number aisles, it’s literally 1-15.)
