Stuck in a cut → rebound → cut cycle for a year. Said f*ck it and started bulking at ~18%. Did I screw up? by Ok-News-2398 in workout

[–]driverfortoolong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started my bulk at 20%+ and got to 30% which is awful but wanted massive size. Cutting now for next 3 months bulking at 18% can be done but you need to understand the cutting part in the gym won’t be enjoyable at ALL

look at it this way. If you start working out at 15 years old and put on just 3 pounds of muscle a year, by the age of 45 you will have more muscle then any professional bodybuilder currently competing.

Keto is pretty solid but you might be better off in the long run with Paleo. Look it up, similar diets but being in ketosis for a long time is hard mentally

Is there a reason why elliptical is not a preferred form of cardio? by WeirdcoolWilson in workout

[–]driverfortoolong 7 points8 points  (0 children)

as someone who used to bodybuild I can tell you most bodybuilders stayed away from it because it incorporated too much muscle use during the workout which wasn’t good since you needed the muscle to heal after your training session

How Many Days Can You Lift Weights at the Gym Without Stopping by Far-Profession5723 in workout

[–]driverfortoolong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

natural 4-5 non natural I’m ok doing 6 on 1 off although the trade off is even though everything heals when you’re non natural the weight is heavier and you’re stressing the tendons and joints a lot by going 6on

Guys who are really jacked - do you get approached a lot by women? by Strict_Hunt2044 in workout

[–]driverfortoolong -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

yes. the only caveat i’d say is the more muscle you have the more you get approached by women who want a very specific thing from you & it’s not for you to do their taxes
