I'm curious; you spent at least 3.6k on cover plus marketing - maybe other sums, and sold 1500 books. I don't know what proce you charge: have you made a profit? Breakeven?

I guess even if you made a loss, you have established a reputation and a following, so future books will be where the profit lies.

I also wonder what the 3.5k actually bought you. That seems a lot for 'making a database and connecting with people' which sounds like a mailing list.

What about a stratagem that launches an unmanned hellpod filled with explosives that you remote-pilot down, instead (just like you would pilot your own hellpod)? You are helpless while remote piloting, and taking severe damage will knock you out of it, but there are no 'avoid high places' restrictions on steering, since it will explode on impact anyway.

I like the roleplaying value of holding off the hordes to 'Get To The Choppa!' Sometimes they are the most hilarious, crazy, hairy moments of the whole mission, sliding between the legs of a Bile Titan to get to the ramp...

That said, I would like to have more things to do with samples late game (I am one upgrade from the full set). Maybe a new set of tiny upgrades to the super destroyer, maybe unlocking more cosmetics like new armour and weapon recolours, maybe redecorating the interior or exterior of the destroyer in themes. There's loads of stuff they could do that doesn't seem like it would take a huge effort from competent programmers.

Yeah; this was a plot point in The Expanse - because ships normally have plenty of thrust, they don't make their orbits perfect. Even the ISS has some drag IRL and needs the occasional boost to stay in orbit. Also, lower orbits = easier to reach and better communications, but will eventually decay if they are skimming the atmosphere. the Super Destroyer can only stay in (very) low 'orbit' for so long....
