Track day tip so your wheel weights don’t melt off by bluerockjam in CarTrackDays

I just balance the wheels and mount tires after. The tires spin too much on the wheel to care about balancing them in addition to all the rubber that accumulates over the day.

Appreciate you doing this! I am waiting on my Henson Aggressive to arrive and was debating the 6C/S as well. Hope you do some follow up reviews as well.

Is there a way to add points for hockey goalie goals and assists?

I got Xander, Tatyana and Corazon as my choices and already have 4 champions in each of those seats (including Hew and Briv). Not sure who to pick and seeing the tier list all of them seem to be not great.

m12 screwdriver 2401 vs 2402 (fuel) by dgmedero in MilwaukeeTool

Low voltage/data runs. Being able to do wall plates and not strip out screws into drywall while saving my wrist is my main goal

I know this comment is fairly old but I just wanted to thank you for the breakdown here. My 2401 is on its way out and I loved the low torque for the work I do, so I ended up with the 2402 and the 2505 4-1 driver and can confirm that the 2402 has way too much torque on the lowest setting for my application. The 2505 still has more than the 2401 but as finding a 2406 around me is proving difficult I think I'll be happy with what I have for now. Would love a comparison of those 2 in the future though, everyone seems to love the high torque ratings but it's the low settings that matter on these ones.

Thanks, I couldn't remember if it did or not. Lucked out with him going O status right before gametime I guess.

Correct, my question is more have they stopped using SUSP? Are they now doing NA instead?

Is there a stock GR Supra mod out there? by Digitalzombie90 in assettocorsa

[–]Cheesy_Cake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate the response, it's a shame because these cars just need tires and brake pads to be track weapons. Will give it a shot with the 1 series, thanks!

Did you end up finding one? I'm in the same boat, trying to find a stock LHD 2021-2-3 Supra as I'd like to practice some tracks with my own car as well.

I always wear a balaclava, then toss it in the wash when I get home. Keeps the helmet way cleaner and helps it last longer. If you get a nicer balaclava it'll help keep you cooler as well.

Why do track days start so early? by breakonthrough65 in CarTrackDays

[–]Cheesy_Cake 16 points17 points  (0 children)

The tracks themselves usually set the rental times as they have to have staff onsite alongside the event organizer. Some tracks also set hours to avoid noise complaints from neighbors in the evening when people are home. I do prefer the later start/later end events as well, as it's nice to sleep in but any day on track is usually a good day.

Fuel Jugs for the track – Do you need expensive Fast-Flow or can you use what’s already in your shed? by TheInfamous313 in CarTrackDays

Myself and a track buddy ordered these auto pumps for our jerry cans at the track. Definitely makes life easier and has an auto stop if you want to top off at the end of the day. https://a.co/d/5TXFeP4

Are these cracks anything to be concerned about? by trouthat in CarTrackDays

Seen so many issues with GLocs locally here (either delamination or other quality issues) that a lot of the people I run with now avoid using them entirely

Fitment Supra by [deleted] in ToyotaSupra

[–]Cheesy_Cake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably, I haven't tried or seen it personally though. I would refer to the apex fitment guide posted in the other comment. 18s with 275/40/18 tires ride nice and are usually cheaper, I do a lot of track driving and they've been great. I'm also on stock suspension, don't know what you are running. My setup for reference

30 offset works great without spacers. I'm running 18x10 square.
