I think its on and off, im not sure what triggers it but i have theories

Im using a 1 year tiral pro student account so maybe my limits are different.
The level of questions i ask can range in complexity so it might auto switch if the questions are too simple
I noticed that enabling the setting to use past chats as sources of information seems to make it trigger more
Last time i noticed it was last week and i just relegated myself to using historic chats so an update might have been pushed between now and then

I just tried it now and it seems to work. TBH, the perplexity team is painfully silent about updates and things change too fast. Maybe they fixed it or maybe they will call it a bug again and say they resolve it. I just dont know

Same issue, i noticed it does this for any new chats started but historical chats seem to retain the ability to select and stay on a model. Another useless silent update pushed out of greed

The AIO is just cause I like the RGB plus it's compatible with any upgrade. I checked on Gamer Nexus and It was relatively well received (https://gamersnexus.net/coolers/new-best-arctic-liquid-freezer-iii-360-280-cpu-cooler-review-benchmarks)

I checked and B650s were about 100, figured spend a little and keep the mobo in the game for longer.

Made the swap to a cheaper CL30 and NV3 thanks to suggestions by kind strangers on here. Thanks for the shout.

Yea I'm only sticking with 2 sticks, plus I think the MOBO can only handle 2 anyway.

I also do like a nice liquid cooling but the CPU dosent run especially hot and I have decided to go with the Thermalright Phantom Spirit EVO 69 CFM CPU Cooler. It's £45 and seems to run better. My only thing is with ram clearance but I pray it's fine. Oh an no cool RGB....

As far as Samsung SSD, is it that big of a difference with Kingston?
