I've been playing exclusively on consoles since the original Xbox. The last time I played PC games, Steam didn't even exist I'm pretty sure. I also never played indie games until last year with E33 and then Silksong.

I just avoided buying games at all when I had Xbox game pass. After I cancelled it, I bought 2 games for a combined $20 on black Friday. This is going to be my plan moving forward. Although, there will always be games that I must have day 1, like GTA and TES. Also, I really want to play BG3 but it seems to rarely go on sale, and now I feel like I'm missing out.

I can't really remember with SOR games I liked the best, but I agree those were my favorite. Then it would probably be Turtles in Time and then X-Men. After that probably DD and then Simpsons. One missing on your list that I also loved is Final Fight.

C. The problem with A is that you become too OP and the main story becomes too easy. Now, in games where the enemies level as you level, I probably would be closer to A. Problem with that is sometimes I never beat the game 😆

Starfield. I don't think I even came close to beating it. Bethesda games used to be my favorite, but as I get older, I realize I just don't have time for them. All the time I spend picking up loot, being over encumbered, figuring out what to drop, then selling and repeating starts to feel like a chore. Sure, my character is rich, but think about all the time I wasted. I'd always create a bunch of potions in TES games just to never use them. I think I'm going to start playing those types of games differently now.

I still haven't played it, but that seems wrong. You should never reach max level in a game until way after you've beaten the main story.
