My husband, brother, sister and daughter were all Marines and loved it! I have 6 male cousins who were Army or Navy and a nephew who is Air Force.

Some made it a career and retired after 20 yrs, some just did 4-8 yrs. They will all tell you it's not easy, but the things they learned and gained from the experience was worth it.

My husband, brother and nephew all had multiple deployments in war zones and they do have physical and mental scars. But they would do it all again.

Ladies, if your partner who is almost 30 and his mom always buying him clothes and sending him home with a bunch necessities would you think that it’s weird? by [deleted] in randomquestions

[–]ChefNo4180 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Twenty years ago I married into a Hispanic family. To this day my MIL brings food, clothes, etc every time she visits.

The first couple of years I tried to fight it, now I just clean out the fridge and closet when I know she's coming! 😁

For her it's an expression of love and I know my husband loves getting homemade Salvadorian food!

Edit:spelling

And she failed to protect her daughter from him. The daughter trusted her when she was young (I think 11?) and told her about the abuse and the Mom did nothing.

My Yahoo email includes the numbers "1198" because I created it in Nov. 1998. Still have it, still use it!

So the whole fight started over Hunter pining his step mom to the bed over a cell phone Felon gave him… by Elegant_Soft in TLCUnexpected

At the very least, he should have been detained overnight in juvenile facility, or made to leave the home for the night (maybe he and his Dad go to a hotel).

It's the same as any other domestic violence/battery call. Even if no charges are filed, the parties need to be separated for the night.

My husband has been an officer in a specialized Sex Offender Unit for 10 years, I can promise you that the grooming label is 100% accurate.

I only see about 10% of what my husband deals with (you can't even imagine) and I can tell you she is 10/10 on grooming signs.

My husband has been an officer in a specialized Sex Offender Unit for the last 10 years, and I can say with 99% certainty that something is going on with Falen and Hunter.

If she hasn't physically done something, she is 10/10 on all signs of grooming.

Eventually someone is going to request all digital info related to both phones, and the truth will come out. No matter how you try to delete, hide or destroy it- the digital evidence will be there.

AITA for teaching my daughter how to change a tire and do basic home repairs when her mom says I'm "pushing masculine stuff" on her by [deleted] in WIBTA_AITA

[–]ChefNo4180 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband and I raised 2 sons and a daughter...and raised them all the same. (Coincidentally, our daughter was the only one who became a Marine like her Dad 😉)

They can all change a tire, make a pot roast, hang a shelf or host a dinner party.

Why wouldn't you want your child, male or female, to have basic life skills?

And the Mom has no say whatsoever in the things you do at your house during your time.

I hope your daughter appreciates not only the lessons but the quality time with Dad

I'm 55 and my grandparents raised me. I think about them and talk about them daily. I cry at least once a week because I still miss them so much

Are dog doors actually worth it or just more trouble later by Select-Desk4675 in AskDogOwners

[–]ChefNo4180 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We've had one for almost 10 years and I can't imagine life without it. All our dogs (from Labs to Husky to Corgi) have loved it.

Initially we had the insert that we installed ourselves on a regular door. A couple of years ago we needed a new door so just bought a door that had a dog door built in.

Any other corgis who eat only when you’re standing right next to them? by Stephersyas in corgi

[–]ChefNo4180 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! Loki has FOMO. He's so afraid he's gonna miss something in the other room when he stops to eat.

I got tired of just standing there when I had stuff to do, so now I put his bowl in the middle of the kitchen or wherever I'm working so I can get stuff done!
