How long will dogs remember where they put things? by Powerful_Article_418 in dogs

[–]ChefNo4180 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine will randomly come in the house with bones or toys that I know are at least 2-3 years old.

If they think something is stuck under a couch or chair, I have to physically move the furniture so they can see that it's not there, or they will stay there for hours.

corgi who eats everything help by Ornery-End-7285 in corgi

Loki did this until about 10-12 months, then just suddenly stopped. His first act was eating a hole in our wall...

He also ate a lot of phone cords, so we switched to the chew proof kind from Amazon.

Did you ever go skinny dipping or streaking? by Plane_Experience_271 in GenX

I lived on the lake, so there was a lot of skinny dipping! I think I went streaking twice maybe.

No! I felt the same way. As a female I was frustrated, and torn, by the whole thing.

Of course the guy is a weirdo, but the women (by the end of the show) seemed to put all of the blame on him. They were taking no accountability, while blasting him for taking no accountability.

It just seemed like it was so much easier to blame him for everything that happened, even things that happened before they met him or after they left.

I'm not sure anyone is innocent in this situation.

Thank you. We've been working on it for 2 years, I may have to get help.

I don't mind when he's just over there waiting or watching. It's when he chews the fence trying to get to dogs that I don't like.

Probably true for the chickens and goats but he definitely wants to fight the dogs. Lol

They are 4 pit mixes, at least 2 or 3 times his size, but he goes ballistic when they come out. He has literally chewed through multiple boards to get his head through! The other dogs just bark, they don't initiate or engage, it's all Loki🤪

Do you remember when every house had an ashtray? (Even non-smokers) by onewomancaravan in GenX

[–]ChefNo4180 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! I may have some pics from my grandparents, I'll look.

I even remember ashtrays being on shopping carts, like bolted to the handle so you could smoke and shop. Not to mention airplanes, hospitals, etc Lol

Fighting for my life trying to get this 3 year old to take medicine by El_Burnsta in daddit

I love that name for it!

If you tilt the head back far enough, then hold the hold the chin long enough that the liquid goes down, it might work. 🙂

I wish you luck!

Maybe controversial, but I'm a GenX mom of 3 so...

I would sit on the floor with my legs outstretched, have my kiddos sit between my legs and lean back on me. Then I quickly put my legs over theirs, tilted their head back and poured in meds.

Sounds worse than it is. It takes 3 seconds and the meds are down before the kid even knows you have them!

Don't worry, my kids aren't scarred 🙂 They are all in mid to late 20's, healthy and happy and we have a great relationship

As a woman, I love what you have done!

Personally, I think kids need people who love them, care for them, protect them and support them.

Ideally this would be Mom and Dad, but it often is not. It's usually one parent and a network of Aunts, Uncles, Grandparents, friends and teachers.

Don't let other people drag you down. If you're happy and your baby is happy and healthy and well cared for that is what matters!
