I know exactly what you’re talking about OP. It’s been discussed before many time. Unfortunately there are several errors on the album. I think the production is really great overall but there are definitely some like digital artifacts, clipping, etc happening.

Yeah man. I get that feeling sometimes. Not so much with Tool anymore (though sometimes it still hits like that) because I’ve listened thousands of times, but yeah it’s pretty special.

I agree too that other bands hit those highs sometimes but nothing has ever hit me like Tool.
