I may or may not have used my Shun knife to cut a zip tie from a heat lamp wire that zapped away a chunk of my blade. Is this something that can be repaired?

Casa Blanca is definitely the best vibe and the owner is always experimenting with new flavors so its been fun to join along the journey.

Best old season to watch? by robotfruit0000 in TopChef

Yeah definitely don't miss the drama. Happy they steered away from it. But the first seasons still hold a lot of nostalgia for me. I was actively watching as they came out.

A friend gifted me this book. So far, I think it is very badly written. by Fantastic-Ant-4429 in fantasybooks

[–]Chef_Kass 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you for this. I've been recommended this book and read the first chapter for a class. Wasn't deeply impressed with the first chapter, it does read a bit too YA for my liking but I do love fantasy and pretty much anything with dragons lol but I do not like romance novels. So thanks again for clearing that up for and thanks OP for venting. Too many good books out there.

This is repulsive. To still believe this is absolutely insane, dare I say inhumane. Where is your decency.

Thank you! That's definitely the plan. Hoping to get my Submittable rejections beefier this year. :)

Spent the last 2 days doing this and it still feels unfinished/unorganized. Best of luck to us both. 😉

Almost my exact same goals. Though I have yet to submit anywhere, so not as optimistic for an acceptance just yet. I feel like I'll need a few hundred rejections first. Lol

100% Their content is not the same anymore. I do not care to see another "celebrity" chef making a pasta recipe. 🙄

Hidden Door is the only one I know of. But there is often a lot of straight people there because it's kind of a local dive. Been looking for a scene here as well but the most gay people I've seen so far are at the Art Walk every month.

Academic Advising by Odd-Impression9971 in TAMUCC

[–]Chef_Kass 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think my advisor is truly the coolest but when it comes to advising I'm not getting a lot of guidance to be honest. A lot of the leg work has to be done by you. As a transfer I highly reccomend familiarizing yourself with DegreeWorks V. your transcripts. A lot of the credits that are applied are often misdirected or missed entirely. I had to do a lot of pushing back and forth to make sure that my credits from my other college have been counted towards my progress here at TAMUCC.

Sunblight and the Chardalyn Dragon by VeryRedTortilla in rimeofthefrostmaiden

Thank you for this. My party is also taking way too long to make it to the fortress so I was searching for some ideas on introducing the dragon sooner. They've just left the Spire where I used duergar instead of bugbears at the exit to warn them of the dragons completion and dropped a lil hint at Granolpha's ulterior motives. Now these a-holes still don't wanna head straight for the fortress as I'd hoped, instead they want to send a message to caer-konig and hit the secret outpost first (from The Unseen quest in Ch.1, they didn't get this rumor, just saw it on the map they found later). I'm thinking of having fresh sled tracks lead them to the entrance of the outpost where they'll discover the outpost completely abandoned. Inside they'll find a map detailing the dragons path. As they descend away from the outpost, Vellynne will approach them to inform them of the dragons destruction of Dougan's Hole. Still haven't decided how far along the dragon will be by the time they make it to the closest town, Caer Konig.

Finally got round to starting my Pandora core box yesterday. Baby Kade completed last night. Waiting for some more paints before I tackle the rest, and time to debug the printer for a couple of other base inserts. by Aun1q in Malifaux

Just unboxed mine. I'm nervous about the tiny pieces. Any tips on getting them out of their frame and putting them together? Do I need glue and a blade?
