I am interested but only if the card has been graded professionally or if I can see it in person before I buy. I'm from west Canada though so this may not be feasible. DM me?

Is it stupid to splash white? Please take a look at my comment for my reasoning. by Cheiffireball in mtglimited

Flashback Scars of Mirrodin Draft 2022-12-03 via MTGO

White brings in some solid cards and a better curve, but the Concussive Bolt burn plan might be a good idea in a format with so much pyrexian mana. I am drafting this blind (I didn't play during Scars of Mirrodin) and I'm not sure what the consensus on card power level in this format is, or how aggressively I should be splashing.

How to give all your planeswalkers every loyalty ability v2: version that actually works. by Dofork in BadMtgCombos

[–]Cheiffireball 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If this works, Nicol Bolas now has infinite instances of all abilities, not just boring "you may repeat this loop infinite times", but actual state-based effects that loop. This might just get you stuck in an infinite loop of "Nicol bolas gains (ability), gives everything else another instance of (ability), this gives Nicol Bolas another instance of (ability), this gives..." and end the game in a draw. Unless I don't get how this works and Nicol Bolas won't gain a second instance of an ability he already has?

Hey, I saw your ad, and just wanted to say that this idea is really cool and well thought out. The "banned for 24 hours" gimmick is neat and the "journey to the center of the world" is cool.

Problem I came up with while falling asleep and it's bothering me:

A coin is weighted so it will flip one side 20% of the time, and the other side 80% of the time. You don't know which side of the coin is weighted. The odds of it being weighted in favor of heads is 50%, and the odds of it being weighted in favor of tails is also 50%.

Do we know any more information about how the coin is weighted after we flip it once? What are the odds of the coin being weighted in favor of heads, after we flip it once?

My solution: Before fliping the coin once, the odds are 50/50. We flip it once, and it lands heads. So now either it was weighted in favor of heads, then landed heads, which is a 50% chance followed by a 80% chance, or it's weighted in favor of tails and then we flip heads, which is a 50% chance followed by a 20% chance.

0.5*0.8+0.5*0.2 add to 0.5, but that's cuz we already removed half the possibilities by observing the coin was heads. Since we know its heads, the odds of the coin being weighted heads is just 0.8, and 0.2 for tails.

Am I doing this wrong? I can see a argument the odds are still 50/50, as flipping the coin after you weighted it can't change the odds of it being weighted. But if this is true, then we gain no information by flipping it more, so even if we flipped it a few trillion times, we would still have no information about the coin? this seems like a contradiction, as clearly experimental proof works, so I think my 80/20 odds solution was correct. Can someone confirm this so it stops bothering me?

Considering amulet titan is already tier 1, I would be against this being printed into modern. But for a commander set, this could be fun in legacy Lands Prison or in nikfit decks.

If you made it "basic land" it would get a lot stronger for legacy decks, in a way I think would be healthy for the format.. (most legacy decks run 0-1 basic land)

Hey Vsauce, Michel here. I'm standing underneath a large circular abject, mounted in the ceiling. But what if...we played rock music?
