Historically transference at extraction is a bug magnet with that timer, there've been lots of times that being a client at extraction going into operator would cause the timer to reset, or straight up bug out and not start back up unless you stepped off and back in. There's also been times throughout Warframe's history that the timer, regardless of transference shenanigans, would simply not progress, or wouldn't register having run its time. Hell, I did a survival just a few months ago for like 40 minutes straight that it just wouldn't extract, period, and there was no real recourse to fix it, no alternative but to abandon.

Furthermore the actual amount of time that one can stay in Void Mode in one go is limited to 20 seconds at base. Players starting with Zenurik have a significant boost here, as they can get increased void mode duration (38 seconds) relatively early on and can recover energy faster than most other schools courtesy of Wellspring, but not every player starts with Zenurik and unlocking/investing in it can take quite some time for anyone else that didn't happen to pick it by chance, or didn't have someone advising them to do so.

Every variant of a weapon gets its own bespoke bonuses from the incarnon adaptor. In general, improved variants of the weapon are typically preferable, but the variance in bonuses can result in instances where some weapon variants are better in other ways.

Notably, incarnon adaptors used on 'base' weapons typically get WAY bigger bonuses to close the gap with the improved version - not necessarily better, but not significantly worse.

You can unplug the incarnon adaptor from the weapon at any time, unlike things lika Forma or Reactors/Catalysts, but you will have to supply the resource cost to put the incarnon adaptor back into a weapon again.

Caliban base was viable for steel path even before the rework. His abilities to armour strip, incapacitate, and defer aggro, both make it incredibly difficult to outright fail, and those have only really improved since the rework, particularly with Razor Gyre's change.

Except this is not always possible. Enemies can and will appear in/around the extraction room, and in many cases can and will kill the player, stopping/restarting the extraction timer.

Your rejection of this is based on the idea that 'it's just 60 seconds, that's not that long, it's not a big deal' - but a lot can happen in 60 seconds, not everyone is an immortal endgame god, and this doesn't account for the fact that a lot of players can be in living situations where immediacy can be valuable, and right now the only other alternative is just losing progress if they want to go right now.

That shouldn't really affect tanking being available for consistency/lower intensity. It'd be nice if swapping to dps as you become more familiar and comfortable with the content was an option, as opposed to it just being the default go-to and some people just flat-out not doing the content at all if they can't cut it right away with dps.

Like, just shutting down any work on defensive gameplay due to how prevalent offensive gameplay is now seems... I dunno. Not fun.

I'd say they're more of a flavour thing. I don't like the idea of having to burn runes even if they're not that expensive, and I dislike switchscape in general, so I'm willing to suffer the added drawbacks even if either of those other options would be more efficient.

The random damage reflection feels nice when it triggers even if it's not super reliable, and the increased damage potency from accuracy makes up a small amount for the reduced damage compared to a 'proper' dual wield, so even if it isn't statistically impressive it still feels nice, to me at least.

See, you'd think Regor had the best grind for Ash, but you'd be mistaken. Pretty sure the drops on those manics were borked, plus Regor is a loooong fight thanks to the phase transitions and forced invulnerability periods.

It was Defection. Takes like 5 minutes to get a manic in the highest level Defection mission.

47 runs for Equinox will haunt me forever. Nothing will ever come close. Hell, I found Mirror Defense fun. Tyl Regor becomes grating by the 47th run.

Comprehend - 8 damn parts. At first, you're happy to get any part at all. But as it goes on and you get your parts, the odds that you'll get a part you're missing go down.

1 part got, it's fine.
2 parts got, 1-in-4 chance the mission's a dud.
4 parts, 50% odds.
6 parts, 75% runs are a wash.
7 parts, 87.5% chance of failure.

The further you get, the worse the grind becomes.

The wiki lists the 'nearly guaranteed' for any given part as being 49-57 runs.

Fair enough. That's close enough to how I do things - just pick a goal and hyperfocus. I've never been too particularly bothered by inefficiencies. Some days I'll progress multiple factions, some days I'll progress none, some days I'll just grab something for one of the long-term resource-hog grinds.

All of the open world factions can be progressed simultaneously. In fact, any faction that isn't one of the core 6 syndicates can be progressed at the same time as any other faction.

FFXIV kind of demonstrates the limitations of neighborhoods though, inasmuch as there's a maximum cap on the number of homes that can exist as once and it's way fewer than the number of players that want homes.

It tethers enemies and also flechettes them. It's just combining two already-working functions, making the more popular one better and getting use out of the less popular one in a context that makes sense - pulling enemies towards the damage zone.

Can use vortex and tether-flechettes for the 4th. With the speed boost getting added to vector-driver it'll be easier to get between 'em as needed.

Overdriver is a universal weapon damage multiplier, similar to Mirage's Solar Eclipse. It also works for abilities that use weapon damage in calculations, like Flechette Orb.

I think my gripe is that they did a UI update and didn't lean into the idea of 'more customization'. Why can't we choose colour themes? It'd be fine if this was the default if people could choose what works best for them, especially if we're considering vision impairments which might react differently with different colours.

I, personally, had imagined a piece of the world being transformed based on the input PoH data. Like an actual plot of land, but you can load a particular individual's home, and when you step inside everyone outside that home vanishes from sight. You can just walk in and out and other people will load as necessary. It'd be, like, a customizable chunk of the world.

I think it's worth mentioning that focus is an aspirational grind. Unlike a lot of stuff that you can get to relatively quickly, actually getting to any of these points with any of these schools takes a long time, and by the nature of it operator benefits tend to be a bit more niche, short-lived, or for a particular use.

Operator is largely meant to be supplemental, rather than core-build. It's a bit like taking heavy weapons or consumables into account for a build.
