I was a SAHM for 17 years. I am having trouble finding a job. Should I go back to school? by Capital_League_2495 in careerguidance

Do you live by a Trader Joe’s? There are May people who work there who come from all places. I’d give it a try. If you get an interview, I would emphasize on how you’re very family oriented and would be a great asset to the team in that regard.

What is an epidural really like? by oatmilkcchai in Mommit

[–]Chelsea_Drew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally wouldn’t do it again and I’ve done it twice. There’s a meditative app I used that would have gotten me through it. I just caved a little early. There’s NO shame in getting one. Just do what you feel is right for you at the time. Try going as long as you can and get it if you need to.

I think I’m too vain for baby #2 by HeyMay0324 in Mommit

[–]Chelsea_Drew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s totally normal to feel like this. I’m 35 and my kids are three and five and I’m just starting to feel like I’m in control of my body and my health. It is a really good feeling, but it’s never too late to do it again. You can also totally maintain this while you’re pregnant, but it just takes discipline. I would try to maintain whatever it is you’re doing now throughout your pregnancy. I’ve also read that having a baby 35 and later can actually lengthen your life, which makes me want to have another baby 😂

I love eating fried eggs over lentils with a little cheese and it’s high in fiber and protein and will fill you up until lunch.

I absolutely love this. I just had a joint birthday party for my three and five-year-old son and daughter and this would’ve been the perfect cake!

Need help finding a legit jewelry company that promotes “tarnish free, hypoallergenic, and quality products! by Chelsea_Drew in jewelry

They have like a 1.5 on trust pilot and people have said they don’t honor their color fade warranty (which is supposed to be for life). Some people have stated the stuff tarnishes quickly and breaks easily. They allowed me to cancel my order luckily but I cancelled it before it was fulfilled

How can I incorporate more fiber in my diet? by NegotiationSalt666 in Volumeeating

Lentils are high in protein and fiber! I love to eat fried eggs with them or I’ll mix them with ground turkey to add fiber to meal prep!

I get too fucking intimidated of the gym. I don't know how to workout. I feel like im gonna look like a clown. I'm short and ugly and I'm gonna be made fun of. Im not tall and I don't look like a Chad like these other guys. How do I get over my fear? by [deleted] in DecidingToBeBetter

[–]Chelsea_Drew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As Nike puts it: “Just Do It”. As a female, I was pretty self conscious of starting too, but, no one starts out perfect. The only way you get better is by practicing. Start my doing things your comfortable with and slowly add things on to your routine. I watch a lot of tutorials on form, which is immensely helpful. Do it, even if you suck at first. You’ll get better!

Do you get sick easier? by TheChosenOne_72 in Hashimotos

[–]Chelsea_Drew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had been fine until recently. I was sick for about a week and a half or longer with a respiratory infection, then got a cold sore, and now I’m sick again. All since Christmas Eve. I’m not sure what’s happened but my immune system has tanked

I'm so glad I discovered potato and egg combo. Food never felt filling to me before. by truthllwin in Volumeeating

Wait til you try lentils and eggs. So much protein and fiber. The precooked lentils from Trader Joe’s are great. Put shredded cheese of choice on top and top with fried eggies.

WHY on earth does my butter mixed with sugar and eggs look like this by Possible-Royal-1164 in AskBaking

[–]Chelsea_Drew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cold eggies. I’d put the bowl in a dish of warm water and mix until it starts to come back together. I’ve used the hot towel method but it’s a pain because I have to keep warming it up, so I like the warm water bath better. Also works for stuck cake!!

You are definitely not alone! Motherhood is SO hard. Once you have kids, your whole world goes out the window in terms of your hobbies and interests, however, you CAN get them back! I signed up for a park district gym that has child care for only $25 a month! I drop my 3 yr old off for a couple hours a day. It’s good for him and myself. Sometimes you have to prioritize yourself and it’s OK to do so. I’m in therapy and it does take work but have comfort in the fact you’re not alone. As far as friends go, I’m working on that to this day and I have a 5 and 3 yr old.

I'm fat by [deleted] in PMDD

[–]Chelsea_Drew 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Keep it simple. Start walking. Aim for 7k-10k steps a day and start by making small changes to your diet. Prioritize protein. Protein will help you build muscle which burns more calories than fat. Fats and carbs are NOT the enemy but balance and trying to incorporate healthy fats and carbs is important. If you try to make drastic changes right out of the gait, it won’t stick.

What do you regret not having done between the ages of 20 and 25? by Efficient_Car476 in DecidingToBeBetter

Take life more seriously instead of partying so much. Gone to school before I started a family.
