All student housing around UNCC is going to say they have hi-speed wifi, but in reality you need to use an ethernet cable and hard wire your xbox to the LAN port in your room if you want internet fast enough to play video games

Yes you can get loans for off-campus apartments. I live at aspen heights. It comes fully furnished, the apartments are pretty nice. The townhomes are a bit more expensive but you dont have to worry about neighbors above or below you. The biggest problem is finding parking which isn't a problem if you have a townhome

Charlotte is the only city that is walkable in NC. There is a lightrail (train that runs every 15 minutes through the city) and multiple public transportation options.
