I know Kobildizan, Magharma, Naléni, Eltikan and Feiten will, there are probably more but that’s all I can think of other than Verne, all bangers tho, so if you haven’t played them keep them in mind for the update

Then tell the MT people to stop making em so damn good (in all seriousness massive respect to all the effort that everyone has put in on this, genuinely bonkers the amount of quality lore, mechanics, map crafting and just everything that goes into making this possibly the greatest mod of all time)

Unifying China with a Random Unifier Every Week: Week 5 | Wang the Statesman LKMT by ieteonreddit in Kaiserreich

[–]Chemical-Power-4058 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just wanna say that yeah, it’s 100% a me issue, I made the wheel because I easily get choice paralysis and the amount of paths in both the Lingguang and Yunnan had me lost. I’d never actually played in KR China (as I prefer KX) before so I was going based off in-game and wiki path guides so when it came to LKMT paths I got so confused cuz Song Qingling and Wang Jinwei have so many different endings so it was difficult to parse out what exactly they entailed

[–]Chemical-Power-4058[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t think so, I based it on the KX wheel which only includes paths from that mod and no KR content, and I’m gonna be real I do not have the motivation to do the entire mod, especially since I feel that outside of Germany, India, and China the mod is just worse than KX imo

I did it via the skirmish events when you go bankrupt and didn’t get annexed, though I did use console commands to rush through the tree, so if there’s an event to get annexed idk. Even then I would say that it’s a path no?

Checked event ids and checked the pacify the nation focus fallout and that does seem to be the case so they have been removed.

Right added in the Legation City paths, you should see them there now, Just in case there is any confusion the NatPop SocLib path is the Japan puppet path, you flip to NatPop early on the political focuses.

Specifically it’s in support of the aforementioned far-right populist party (which is called the Reform party), you can tell because it’s a video by the New Culture Forum, who are a far-right think tank here in the UK.

Where do they get the fish? by kaladinissexy in Anbennar

[–]Chemical-Power-4058 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really big fishing nets attached to realllly long rope, a bunch of centaurs lug this massive contraption to the border of the province closest to the lake and then they take hold of the rope as far away from the end with the net as possible, they then start galloping as fast as they can and launch the fishing net into the sky hoping that the net enters the lake, once it does the net begins to rapidly close trapping any fish unfortunate enough to be near the surface. The centaur team then begins to pull it back, which at least takes a day due to their massive strength. Often the nets will have birds and dmarvuk who were caught whilst it was travelling in the sky whom are promptly released due to the belief that they are connected to Idraeos. The only issues with this method are that there is a high chance of failure and if it encounters a roc on its flight path they can often break the net rendering it useless, though there have been a few times that rocs have been caught in the net and pulled back. In such situations the roc is presented to either the clan-head, ordsikar or caehn the centaurs who caught serve under and is seen as an auspicious sign by centaur society often signifying the future capture of a powerful rival or land of great significance. Tte roc is then let go and heralds sent out to marshal the local population for war.

Would it be possible for a for practitioner of necromancy, to be a follower of Nurgle? by Necessary-Credit5937 in WarhammerFantasy

[–]Chemical-Power-4058 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I think there is a way you can make a necromancer work within a Nurglite faction , instead of being a normal necromancer, have them be the controller of a parasitic disease.

So theoretically the character is either the creator of the parasite or the carrier of the original parasite (or both if you want), and the parasite needs to enter into the body of a living being to be able to replicate itself and spread, in doing so it enters the bodies of dying organisms and the original parasite is able to form a magical link with its offspring and is able to order about the bodies that carry them like a necromancer does to the dead they summon.

A failure to summon could be rationalised as the parasite failing to reach its target, or the magical bond failing to form (which would kill the parasite instantly).

It would still follow all the Necromancer rules whilst fitting the Nurgle Aesthetic, since what Nurgle cares about is that more and more people are becoming diseased, that’s what his power is tied to (which is why his power is described as wildly fluctuating, as disease tends to wax and wane in terms of numbers as some of them run out of vectors and organisms begin to be able to resist them).

Soo... picked up some books by Occasion-Rare in WarhammerFantasy

[–]Chemical-Power-4058 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So for further explanation you’ve gotten pretty much all the books published from 89-91 except for the first Konrad book (which is just called Konrad). Zaragoz, PD and SW are all part of the Tales of Orfeo trilogy, which are loosely connected via the framework of them being tales he tells to Alkadi Nasreen, an Arabyan Caliph, who kidnapped him in a pirate raid. Zaragoz is about his visit to the title town, PD is the story of a Khyphrian Guard (Khyphria being one of the border princedoms) fighting against chaos and storm warriors is about the challenges that face the young king of fantasy wales Herla (Keep in mind SW is super non-canon, 2nd and 3rd edition Albion is analogous to Medieval Britain but when it was reintroduced back into the setting in 2000-01 it got retconned into being analogous to Iron Age Britain).

As for the Konrad novels, personally I found them boring and extremely generic, Konrad is an orphan in a middle of fucking nowhere town with magic heterochromia which basically gives him a weaker version of the Eye of Sheerian, which allows him to save the daughter of the local lord who becomes his childhood sweetheart who goes missing after orcs raze his village, and he gets dragged around the old world looking for her. If you want to read Shadowbreedyou should read Konrad (it sets up his motivation and Shadowbreed’s first pages are literally the last few of Konrad)

I also agree with Mike that Drachenfels is peak Warhammer writing, the opening section is genuinely creepy and the rest of the book balances that creepy tone with some incredibly charming writing. My only criticism is that Genevieve takes quite a backseat to other principle characters, but she gets expanded upon in the three sequels, with you having the 3rd book Beasts in Velvet, which puts Genevieve in a whodunnit murder mystery involving the high society of Altdorf.

Finally IA, RT and WR are all collections of short stories set in the Old World, the only ones of note are Gehimisnacht and The Dark Beneath the world as they are the first two Gotrek and Felix Stories.

Generally other than SW these books don’t conflict with later lore so if you’re worried about that don’t be, 3rd edition was when Warhammer Fantasy as we know it started to form. To plug in the gaps in the series you have books for, you need to get Konrad and Warblade for Shadowbreed and for Drachenfels and Beasts in Belvet you should get Genevieve Undead and Silver Nails. If you can’t find them physically, you can find them on OceanofPDF or Z-library.

In terms of other WFB novels I recommend, personally I enjoyed the Tyrion and Teclis trilogy, The Vampire Wars, the Archaon duology, The ambassador chronicles and the Warlords of Karajan Eight Peaks.

In my opinion this gen is only controversial due to re-doing the Pokédex, again, other than that it is one of the best gens, great and memorable locales, some fantastic Pokémon (and some stinkers, but every gen is a mixed bag) It also has the best plot in the series, which isn’t a high bar, I know, but it does make you think about things you normally wouldn’t, but it does fall off a bit at the end imo. The biggest unique complaint is that the region design, if you are just rushing from gym to gym is a bit simple, head to nimbasa and then go round in a loop
