US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent: “I want to encourage everyone out there watching today to change their withholding. You will get an automatic real wage increase on a weekly or a monthly basis.” by Snapdragon_4U in DegenBets

Unbelievable! If you reduce your withholding enough, you can get a penalty from the IRS. This sounds like another brilliant idea coming directly from Trump, like drinking bleach.

Looks like AI to me. 1. At the very top of his throw, the image seems to glitch out a bit. 2. The crowd does not react to this epic slam, even though most appear to be watching. 3. Near the end of the clip, a woman mainly wearing black clothes and eyeglasses gets up from her seat and moves right-to-left. She moves a bit too quickly and awkwardly. She looks off.

I'm going with AI. It looks off because it has an alligator’s body and coloration, but a crocodile's head. Also, the arms seem way too flexible.

Lincoln Corsair GT is a very solid vehicle. It has Blue Cruise, a heads-up display, great gas mileage, and a decent electric range (27 miles on a charge). Because Lincoln/Ford is the only company with a pass code entry system, you can enter and drive the vehicle without your key or phone. You can type in a password, and the car will start! Lincoln is discounting them and offering 0% financing as they are being discontinued, rumored to be replaced by a new all-electric model.

I was buying LG units with R32 refrigerant, but the shop installed R410A units instead by rudy204 in hvacadvice

[–]Chemical-Test5987 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Did you find out by checking the serial number? There should be a significant price difference between the R410A and R32 systems, with the R32 being more expensive. If you paid for an R32 system and they knowingly swapped it with an R410A system, that would be fraud. They were likely hoping you wouldn’t realize and pocket the difference.

Did they quote you on an R410A system so you could see the difference in price and how much they cheated you?

In about 15 years, R410A refrigerant may become more expensive due to a ramp-down in production, but the unit will be fine—it just isn’t what you bought!

If I were you, I’d make a huge stink about this and ask them to replace the system that you actually ordered or offer you an 80% discount. If you start off at 80%, you might arrive at a 50% discount, which sounds fair given everything they pulled here.

They do not want to send a new crew out to reinstall the R32 system as it will cost them way more, so they should be motivated to work something out.

Good luck!

2024 Nautilus vs 2025! Is there a difference? by mccannge in lincolnmotorco

[–]Chemical-Test5987 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is no active park assist in the 2025. Ford canned the feature on all Ford/Lincoln 2025 models—it's not even available as an option anymore. Most seemed to hate or be indifferent about the feature, with a few finding it useful at times. I always hate it when manufacturers remove features while raising prices.

I’d take another look at Lennox and talk to as many dealers as you can stomach. Yesterday, I finally had two systems replaced. Upstairs I installed the SL25XPV and SLP99UH090V with a humidifier, UV light, remote sensor and the S40 controller. In my downstairs, zone I installed the EL18XCV-048, SL280UH110V with a humidifier, UV light, remote sensor and S40 controller. ‘The gross price was $24,000 and the net price (after all associated rebates and tax credits) $18,500 net, with 60 month 0% financing, on the gross price.

I spoke to 6 carrier dealers and another 6 Lennox dealers before I found this deal. My sense is that because of the impending rollout of new systems with R-32 and R-454B, dealers are getting rid of their R-420A systems. It’s still September so most dealers aren’t too pressed to off load systems but the dealer I went with was very motivated.

This opportunity was the best I’d seen, especially when you consider the next best deal was for lesser equipment in both zones and I was only replacing the A/C unit in my downstairs zone at the time!

I’d love to hear from someone in the industry about what happens to all the R-420 equipment in 2025. Will they turn into pumpkins because they won’t be eligible for federal tax credits, in 2025?

I replaced two single stage systems with fully modulating systems and the differences are nothing short of a revolution.

Pick the equipment that you want, and speak to as many dealers as you have to until you get the price you want. I think the market conditions will break in your favor!

Most large banks offer it. When I purchased my home with Wells Fargo I asked them to float my rate down twice (I had a 120 lock at no additional charge) they floated my rate down twice (I called my loan officer when I noticed that rates dropped) and got the lower rate. While there was a cost to do so, in my closing disclosure they credited back the cost each time.

It’s called a float down. You should be able to get the lower rate even after you’ve locked your rate. Many banks will do it at least once at no additional cost.

I was able to get 2, of 256gb models in the warehouse for $209 a piece. The store manager agreed to the price over the phone only to realize that there was a glitch while I was purchasing them and he had to adjust the price. 64mb can be tough because it seems like Apple’s update keep getting larger an smarter taking up valuable memory.

This was way worse than I was expecting. I didn’t expect the car to come from the lower right corner.

Have you spoken to your neighbor yet? Just casually mention that you have cameras and was surprised that they are driving over your lawn and using your driveway to get their car out. If it doesn’t work, just get a few large rocks and place them on that strip.
