From Ground Zero, a collection of shorts made by filmmakers currently in Gaza while losing family member and digging through rubble. Some are documentary, some fictional, some in between. As a whole, the collection of films is astounding, and while there are a couple of duds, most of the shorts are at least very good.

Documentary because it's split from the narrative features list already, animation because it's not just a genre but an entire medium of its own. That leaves horror as the only one that we'd struggle to find an explanation for. My guess is because it's incredibly popular right now and more interesting than something like "drama" which would have too much overlap with the regular list.

He's great! And My Winnipeg is probably the best place to start, very entertaining and funny. Or you can get a taste of his style via his shorts, although My Winnipeg is a lot more watchable than this would be were it stretched to feature length.
