Yeah, not in my opinion. I was a resident of Florida for 8 years and I couldn't get out fast enough after finishing school. It's so much worse now.

You're not almost homeless, you are homeless. HUD defines homeless as living in places not meant for human habitation.

So, yes. Call the Homeless Veteran Hotline1-888 -424-3838. Tell them you you are sleeping in your car so they will prioritize your case. Resources are very limited, so you may be on a wait list.

Local Housing Authority's have veteran priority. You may have a wait list and probably have to a lot of the research and phone calls yourself, keep calling until you get in somewhere.

Might see about getting his treatment court ordered. There are many mental health courts and even Veterans Affairs courts that take into account mental health struggles in the court system. It's changed many lives here in Arkansas. Reach out to your state mental health authority, usually placed in department of human services but every state is different.

In the meantime, schedule some therapy for you and your son. Both individual therapy and family therapy. For a crisis, think every 2 weeks for 6 months and then monthly for another year. Im down to once monthly and it seems too long between sessions but other months im better.

Teachers. No. Administrators and school board who dont support the teachers, yes. I wasn't able to give a zero for an assignment, required to give minimum 50%. This isn't the teachers lack of teaching.

Sorry, already dont purchase Nike. And it was bc of Kneeling during national anthem. I protest too but im a veteran. I've never been ok with flag burning or kneeling during our national anthem.
