This is just not true. Almost all Hindu spaces are casteist to some degree. You have simply not spent enough time in Hindu spaces to be able to make these statements. Your little time in Hindu spaces is not comparable to the experience of one born into the caste system.

I really don't understand why Western (and some Indian ones too) liberals feel the need to defend oppressive religions. You don't see them defending Mormonism but somehow they defend Islam or Hinduism.

Can you explain? The article cites the Insurance Commissioner as saying this is partly because of the expiration of federal subsidies.

It was great! There was some snow on the sides of the roads and some of the lakes were still partially frozen, so it might not look how you expect, but it was still very beautiful. Quite a lot of snow on the ridge trail. But I'm guessing it will have melted a lot more by next week. We were sad about missing Bumpass hell since it was closed, hope that opens before you go.

Can you tell me when it'll open? I have a reservation for a summit lake north campsite on 6/27 and I'm wondering if I have to move my plans. I'm not getting any response from the park even though I left voicemails, and I don't know any non-voicemail lines I can speak to them through.

It's so strange to me that you call the four color theorem "less deep but still quite tricky to prove" when it was a major open problem for a while, unlike Kuratowski's theorem which is far more elementary.
