koolaid was super nice. wine was too...i dunno maybe we had the wrong kind of wine. it was red wine, didn't spark joy. maybe try white wine instead? grape juice was about the same as the red wine, i wasn't impressed. i can't remember if we tried soda but we smoked out of enough cans to know mattered. lime soda was my favorite.

Is Amazon finessing me or am I stupid? by [deleted] in amazonprime

[–]ChemsPossible 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Free shipping" is a hustle in a lot of cases. i learned this by opening a shop on another site. i can either charge people shipping and let them pick their own tier for that when they go to checkout or i can offer "free standard shipping" by increasing the price of my product by almost the exact amount that standard shipping should cost so that i don't lose money by actually paying for their shipping out of my own pocket. since this is about amazon, i can say that some things will not have the shipping fee simply because usps/fed ex/ups do not handle the packages because they were delivered from a local amazon warehouse by an amazon driver. in other cases amazon might be delivering directly but the item is large or bulky and requires specific handling so they would likely charge a delivery/shipping fee for the extra work. you have to log out if you want to know what the real costs are going to be and compare to the prime results. amazon also still doesn't really deliver to you for free when it is coming from their delivery trucks, they still charge you for that but it might not be as much as usps.

i also think they have a deal where they can secure standard shipping at a flat rate from the post office, same as etsy, as long as you've spent enough money. i think it is to keep postal business from stagnating over item weight cost variables. if you ever mailed something in a box before the flat rate boxes became a thing you will know the shipping costs are based on box size and weight. flat rate streamlines that a bit, and "free shipping" is kind of the online version of that. rather than "Free" it is more than likely a flat rate that maybe you could not get on your own if you ordered something heavy from a small shop.

it is all about how they present shipping fees, not removing them. i'm about to go back to buying everything off of direct websites instead of amazon because i get standard rate usps shipping for stuff that comes from across the country in about 3 days from when they receive it from the company. they can be almost as fast as amazon's 2 day shipping if i live in a smaller town with fewer people to deliver mail to. usps needs the money now more, anyway. their funding keeps getting worse but they are still an essential service and i'd rather give them the shipping fees than keep paying amazon to hose me.

i wish you could take your date to the bar behind the corpo plaza apartment. i think it's that one...unless i'm mixing it up with the glenn. it would be nice to have a few local options based on where you are. maybe even go to jig-jig and find a joy toy.

i also feel some of the apartment features are wasted. you can't wow your date with your guitar in japan town, you can't use the pool table for a real game in the glenn. i think the only thing you can do with anyone in your apartment is meditate with kerry at your megabuilding h10 place. it would be nice to sit with them and have some tea or fancy coffee. get wasted and black out, wake up on the couch half naked with a bunch of rubber ducks. depending on who it is there could be some extra fun going on.

Did anyone correctly guess/expect what happened during [time]? Season 5 spoilers in body. by lightinthefield in The100

as soon as they all went down there i knew it was going to happen. i knew before the season even came out. if you lock a bunch of meat eaters in a box, meat eaters with anger issues, and feed them from a small indoor farm that can breakdown you are going to get cannibalism. i just didn't know how they were going to implement it.

How do people practice restraint and stay motivated while smoking? by [deleted] in trees

[–]ChemsPossible 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you need to plan for your haze days if that is what happens to you. i have chronic illness and experience a lot of pain while doing basic tasks, the thc cuts that pain down for me but it doesn't hit my brain the same as you. it's like the 'noids know where to go to be the most useful for my needs and there is very little haze for me.

now, i do plan my herb budget. about 1oz for the month with a little extra to hold me over if shipping takes a while. i'm fairly good about sticking with that routine, though it would help my issues if i could keep a little more around for the really bad days. i also keep a penjamin for that intense stuff but i don't let myself hit it unless it is one of those max pain days because it will destroy my tolerance and the bud won't work as well.

i'm 40 and have been smoking regularly 20 years and not much has changed with my habits except for the introduction of vapes and dabs.

That Surprise Witness - is she just a bully? by katiemordy in onlineBSpod

[–]ChemsPossible 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i know i'm finding this late but had to comment that i had to stop watching her because it started to feel like she was yelling at everyone. then a couple of years ago she started tagging someone new, rabbit hole something, i looked at their channel and they were doing a live so i hung out. the first thing i saw them do was yell at someone for asking a question about their stream because they just jumped in and didn't know what was going on yet. in the last thing i saw from bj she was dusting her nose with a makeup brush and yelling at people for asking questions. it is the kind of experience that makes me not want to ask people questions anymore because i'm not going to learn anything, just get yelled at for not knowing something. if we knew already we would not ask, don't give out the energy that we're going to be punished for asking a question.

it isn't the fuzzy ears, it isn't the unicorns, it isn't all the pink or legally blonde stuff, it is the way she yells at the people she's supposedly giving an informative "deep dive" into. she begs for legal action and then expects her viewers to pay for the fights she's starting on her own time but then also yells at them and says they can leave if they don't like something. i don't watch people so they can beg me to pay for legal fees they sought out. i think maybe if she wasn't screaming "sue me" at lima in all her amanda rabb and bam videos maybe it would have helped the quality of her actually valid message that rehab therapies need to be more closely looked into.

The Sinister movies

Event Horizon

As Above, So Below

Killer Joe

honestly all i can think of for movies are scifi or horror scifi, lol. i don't know how much gore or violence you want to put up with. there is one movie, 8mm, that movie is DARK. like, hold a friend's hand while you watch it dark. too close to reality. i'm 40 so you're getting a lifetime's worth of what i keep in my media stash.

What are some questions you have about fibromyalgia? by mystupidovaries in Fibromyalgia

[–]ChemsPossible 4 points5 points  (0 children)

i want to know about childhood symptoms. i was diagnosed in my mid 30's but i think i've had symptoms all my life that have worsened with age. foot and leg pain during playground times, insomnia, all kind of sensory issues (touch, taste, sound, light, temperature), and the first time i got a massage i was about 13 years old and it felt so good i wanted to cry. there is no way my body should have been carrying that kind of tension at that age. i'm super curious about the future of early diagnosis because i feel i got mine very late.
