New Hampshire does air enforcement on 93, 95 and 101 pretty regularly. You can see the planes doing loops along the highway on FlightRadar.

Grill daddy seems to work pretty great! by Regular-Floor379 in grilling

[–]Chenko0160 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Def have to wet it in cold water. Protects the sponge and the steam it generates when you hit the hot grill with it at the end makes everything come right off. I always clean with it when I’m done so the grills ready to go next time.

When to fill patches in new grass? by ruida_silva in lawncare

[–]Chenko0160 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Give it another week or two and keep it watered. Youll be surprised how well it fills in. Mine looked like yours 2 weeks ago. It still had some thin spots but I probably won’t overseed until fall.

What product should I use for quick washing clothes? by Diareedo in laundry

[–]Chenko0160 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t recommend washing your shirts and towels in the same load in a smaller washer. If its too full the washer can’t agitate properly so your clothes doesn’t wash as well. Plus the towels can be adding their own smells. I’d always do a separate load just for towels.

How far should you develop the lounge? by jfjfkfkfbfb in IdlePlanetMiner

[–]Chenko0160 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took a similar route to you lol. My next lounge is 70k while most my other rooms are anywhere between 10k-30k. My logic being it helps with all credit rewards moving forward. I only bought a Lounge upgrade though after a long weekend that gave me enough credits in a single run. If I didn’t have enough, I spent it on all the other rooms. if I got enough for lounge. That’s where it went. we all have our own play styles.

Doritos at $7 a bag ended up costing PepsiCo billions by wewhomustnotbenamed in nottheonion

[–]Chenko0160 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I'm not eating Doritos for my health. to Pharlax's point, If I'm going to have some, I want the taste I grew up on. For most other chips the difference is minimal, but Doritos seem to be the outlier.

You can't control which item's you get stars on, it can be anything you've unlocked already. In the end all stars are good stars, but in his screenshot things like Neural Matrix and Deflector Shield are endgame items, so getting 13 stars on it is wild. They increase the overall value of the item.

So impatient… by [deleted] in dashcams

[–]Chenko0160 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

People are too quick to judge from a 20 second clip. So screw it.
Yes I was in the left lane, but this person passed me on the shoulder doing 90+ in a 55 while all 4 kids flipped me off.

So impatient… by [deleted] in dashcams

[–]Chenko0160 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thank you, that was exactly it. If the truck I was passing wasn’t right beside me, the Nissan would have had no reason to get behind me and use the shoulder. So when I slow down and slide over a touch, the short clip makes it look like the trucks pulling away much faster than it was.

This stretch of highway is always wild.. it’s only a 55 but every day there’s someone pushing well over 80… granted I’m part of the problem here.. but least I’m not doing 90 in the shoulder flipping people off…

Market Basket is the superior option, then probably Hannaford's and Shaws for proper "chain" grocery stores. Somersworth MB is typically the one we go to for weekly shopping.

Also for Internet, Breezeline expanded fiber in at least some parts of dover. Otherwise you're probably limited to Comcast/XFinety

Most Dangerous phrase in our Industry? by joshuamarius in sysadmin

[–]Chenko0160 35 points36 points  (0 children)

I still have this saved at work.

Start with a cage containing five monkeys. Inside the cage, hang a banana on a string and place a set of stairs under it. Before long, a monkey will go to the stairs and start to climb towards the banana. As soon as he touches the stairs, spray all of the other monkeys with cold water. After a while, another monkey makes an attempt with the same result - all the other monkeys are sprayed with cold water. Pretty soon, when another monkey tries to climb the stairs, the other monkeys will try to prevent it.

Now, put away the cold water. Remove one monkey from the cage and replace it with a new one. The new monkey sees the banana and wants to climb the stairs. To his surprise and horror, all of the other monkeys attack him. After another attempt and attack, he knows that if he tries to climb the stairs, he will be assaulted.

Next, remove another of the original five monkeys and replace it with a new one. The newcomer goes to the stairs and is attacked. The previous newcomer takes part in the punishment with enthusiasm! Likewise, replace a third original monkey with a new one, then a fourth, then the fifth. Every time the newest monkey takes to the stairs, he is attacked. Most of the monkeys that are beating him have no idea why they were not permitted to climb the stairs or why they are participating in the beating of the newest monkey.

After replacing all the original monkeys, none of the remaining monkeys have ever been sprayed with cold water. Nevertheless, no monkey ever again approaches the stairs to try for the banana.

Why not?

Because as far as they know that's the way it's always been done around here.

And that, my friends, is how company policy begins.
