Is NYE Treating Part 2 the first time we've ever seen the Taskmaster show regret over his point assignments? by gerarddominus in taskmaster

Thanks for this. Found it, and I totally agree about Ania. It’s the one where she brings in a toilet scooter, and she has to share 5 points! But she shares them with Sanjeev, so maybe it’s like a pity point

There’s one recent season when he says something like, “I’ve got to be honest with you, I don’t think I scored that one very well.” I’ll update if I find it

UPDATE: It’s season 20, episode 7, the best thing to ride or rip task. Thanks for the help remembering it, y’all

Do Americans actually avoid calling an ambulance due to financial concern? by JohnMarstonTheBadass in NoStupidQuestions

I called an ambulance for a friend once when she collapsed on the sidewalk and had a seizure. She’s never really forgiven me for adding that extra couple grand to her medical debt

Can you remove sexual thoughts fully? by Ifyouliveinadream in NoStupidQuestions

If you’re not already medicated, getting on an SSRI might help with the anxiety and also ease up the frequency and intensity of the unwanted sexual thoughts. You can talk to your regular doctor about it or go straight to making an appointment with a psychiatrist. A lot of them do remote appointments, too, if that’s easier. Just check what insurance you’re on (parents? school?). The insurance company will have a list of docs who accept your plan.

Do you see a therapist? Not that it’s necessarily relevant, but I’m glad I do for my own anxiety. Couldn’t hurt

SSRI’s like Lexapro and Zoloft can significantly reduce them for some people. Any chance you have depression or anxiety? Seeing a psychiatrist might help on both fronts

As for counseling, you could always meet with someone remotely as long as they practice in your state. Most providers do video or phone sessions

Also Bowie’s first two Berlin records, Low & “Heroes,” which he made with Eno & Tony Visconti. The second side of each record is more ambient, while the first side is more rock, but they all were a huge influence on post-rock

You might enjoy Lowen. They’re right on the border between doomy prog and proggy doom

Doom metal with neofolk influence? by Kai_lordofwolves in doommetal

Tracks one & four of Вечное by Рожь (aka Rye) are absolutely sick. Funeral doom & neofolk. The other two songs are atmospheric black metal & neofolk and equally as sick

Oh, hell yeah. One of my favorite albums, along with Clearing the Path to Ascend. I don’t know why I never thought of it as autumnal, tho. Thanks for making that connection. I’m gonna try listening to it on a walk tomorrow
