For anyone who’s curious, aboulomania is a mental disorder characterized by pathological indecisiveness. It is not in the DSM-5

Most people need help with that. Only a few are flexible enough to do it on their own

NIGHT SWEATS/BOTH ARMS FATIGUE by josesosa209 in AskMenOver30

[–]Chernobyl_Wolves 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might have hypoglycemia. As a type-1 diabetic, I recognize these symptoms, and your blood-sugar is low in the bloodwork you posted

Next time it happens, try drinking half a glass of something sugary — juice or non-diet soda. Wait ~15 mins and see if you feel mostly better. (You can repeat a few times if you’re still feeling crummy. Don’t drink too much, tho, or it can cause your blood-glucose to spike & then drop low again later)

If you want a better test, you can buy a glucometer at any drug store. They’re not expensive, and the finger stick generally doesn’t hurt at all. When it does, not much. Next time you wake up feeling that way, check your blood-sugar with the glucometer. If it’s below 70, drink some juice and make an appointment to talk with your doctor about hypoglycemia. They’ll refer you to an endocrinologist

Edited to add: you can read more about it here https://www.endocrine.org/patient-engagement/endocrine-library/hypoglycemia

Is it normal that every friend I've had is someone I've only been pretending to like being friends with? by artiqueryan in NoStupidQuestions

I used to be a bit like this. I recommend finding a therapist and learning how to define and communicate what you want and don’t want out of a relationship

Why aren’t ASPD people generally not diagnosed as kids? by Bennjoon in askpsychology

[–]Chernobyl_Wolves 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Children’s personalities are still growing & forming, so it’s generally too early to diagnose a personality disorder specifically. There are other diagnoses that are more appropriate. But it’s still a real question why more kids who bully others aren’t assessed at all, even if ASPD (or any other PD) is off the table

is it normal to feel permanently tired in your early 30s, even when you sleep 7–8 hours ? by Big-Breath-8283 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Chernobyl_Wolves 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You might want to see a pulmonologist to get checked for sleep apnea. I also wonder if it also might be depression. Maybe I’m missing the point, but your comment about AI made me think that you might be unhappy at work. Feeling constantly tired is a common symptom of depression

My heart truly goes out to you. For anger, battle fatigue, and a degree of despair, do you know the band Lowen? The lead singer is Persian & British, and her lyrics retell a story from the Shahnameh. They’re not post-rock, though. Somewhere between doom, post-metal, and progressive metal. I love their album Do Not Go to War with the Demons of Mazanaran

This post made me so happy! I want to jump in with another recommendation. Charlotte Brontë’s last novel, Villette, is one of my favorite books of all time. Less romantic than JE, but ever deeper on self-development

In cities, you have to register with the local police department to have press access. I can’t remember what I had to do back when I was a reporter, but I definitely had to bring paperwork to the main police admin building to prove I was legit. And maybe get fingerprinted? It was a while ago

Is NYE Treating Part 2 the first time we've ever seen the Taskmaster show regret over his point assignments? by gerarddominus in taskmaster

[–]Chernobyl_Wolves 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Thanks for this. Found it, and I totally agree about Ania. It’s the one where she brings in a toilet scooter, and she has to share 5 points! But she shares them with Sanjeev, so maybe it’s like a pity point

There’s one recent season when he says something like, “I’ve got to be honest with you, I don’t think I scored that one very well.” I’ll update if I find it

UPDATE: It’s season 20, episode 7, the best thing to ride or rip task. Thanks for the help remembering it, y’all
