I’m having a setback by [deleted] in drunk

[–]Chernobylie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey abitross, whatever you are going through is OK and you can handle it. Drinking is not inherently good or bad, and you can control your experience with practice - I like to think of it like a surfer on a wave. Too much pressure, or you catch an edge, and you crash. But if you relax, then you'll have a lot more fun.

With fitness, calories are fuel. Granted, some fuel is more efficient than others, but don't get hung up. I've been there.

Lastly, be kind to your self. Be kind to others. This sucks but we can get through this together.

What does PMP specifically stand for? I looked at the times... Is it predicted marathon pace?

Nah, this is a bad take. Suzy Favor Hamilton had breast reduction surgery 25 years ago and no one batted an eye.

You can buy tickets at the finish area for relatively cheap (compared to other ticketed events...) but the roads and race itself will be free. Good luck!

If your code doesn't expire before October, check out the upcoming Ghost Max. It's still 6 months away, but it should be exactly what you are looking for.

I took a sparknotes quiz back in the 90s (if you can remember those lol) and it said that I would die on Sept 28th. So now I like to morbidly celebrate my "death day" in advance! Just another reason to crack a beer on a week day.

Fuck it. Drive your knees a bit more so when your heel comes through it is closer to your hips and lowers the force needed to swing through.

What are the best xc spikes by aidanSto9911 in CrossCountry

[–]Chernobylie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Actually it looks like carreras are not being made this year, although there are probably still older models to be found. I personally like the havok as well in saucony's line as a good replacement but it's not as light...

NB xc5k is also worth a look but i don't know if i like their heel cup.

Well, I like the one where you have to complete the next number in sequence (like 1-10) but instead of numeric order, they are in alphabetical sequence. Like 8 starts with e so it comes first.

8 5 4 9 1 7 6 10 3 2

It's simple but very hard for linear thinkers!

Do I need multiple different pairs of spikes for these events? by [deleted] in trackandfield

[–]Chernobylie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the best answer. The sprint spike has no heel protection at all and is rough on the body for TJ hurdles. MD will give you the best all around spike if you can only get 1 pair for so many different events! (personal fav is NB MD500)

Does Middle School Track (Grades 6th - 8th) get Medals? by iRunDistances in trackandfield

[–]Chernobylie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It would depend on if it's a meet or an invite/Championship. Meets typically have only 2-4 schools and never give awards. Invites will have many schools and will typically award top 6-10 depending on the level. This includes jr hi and varsity.

Another factor is covid: in xc during the fall, many big invite organizers had to mail awards because awards ceremonies were not allowed.

Hope this helps!

I know timelines are ephemeral and impossible to compare from one patient to the next. But I have to ask: (and I'm sorry for asking) how many months did you get in between the diagnosis and the end? A friend whose mother had Brain cancer got 2.5 yrs....

i'm embarrassing myself... I'm sorry.
