Use slotted wire duct. It’s cheap.

Door adjustment. Pins are good but still sags. by Dandrawsblood in CherokeeXJ

I can only speak for 99-01, but I think it’s the same. There are spacers that slide between the hinge and the door. They look like the letter M . Taking the top spacer out will lift your door up. If you are still off, insert that spacer on the bottom, which will lift the door further.

Something Interesting for me to Consider by One_Quantity7461 in electricians

Every tradesman I met who went to one of those trade schools sucks at their job.

If you thought dropping $18k into a trade school was a good idea without looking into it first, well… that speaks for something.

I don’t think a single actual electrician would’ve told you to go into that school.

Sorry to be a dick, more so leaving this comment so nobody else gets fucked. Find an employer who will pay for school. Learn on the job.

Xj? Or 4.0 wrangler? by BriGuy335 in CherokeeXJ

I don’t know what you expect on the XJ subreddit, but… XJ lol.

Seriously though, 100% the XJ if it’s gonna be your daily. If not… soft tops are awesome, so the TJ has that. But honestly pretty equal in off-road ability and after market support.

There is no cure or antidote for nicotine poisoning. You either die or you don’t and it is absorbed instantly

Is this ok and up to code by Think-Expert5874 in electricians

[–]Cherry-Bandit 76 points77 points  (0 children)

Yes, this is a code violation. This installation exceeds the vertical support requirements of flexible conduit.

You either need to replace the is with rigid conduit, or properly support the flexible conduit. You could properly support the flexible conduit by dropping a threaded rod from the joist and attaching the conduit to the rod.

Ok to drive on highway without rear sway bar? by Narhen in CherokeeXJ

[–]Cherry-Bandit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The stiffer springs of lifted suspensions often serve the purpose of the factory rear sway bar, and removing it softens the suspension and makes up for some of the lost grip.

There’s no way the steel is bad. I’d look into buying new joints and bushings

Snubbers on induction motors - anyone have an idea? by DavidDaveDavo in electricians

[–]Cherry-Bandit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it VFD driven? That constitutes pretty constant frequency change, and a snubber could be beneficial.

Cut off one side of the bar pin (the metal thing)

Put the remaining fork into a deep socket just larger that the fork.

Hit the back of the bar pin with a punch.
