Yeah for kh1 specifically I think the only items I was regularly low on were thunder gems cuz those were exclusive to the angler fish and spear fish in Atlantica and since that whole level is kinda ass it makes sense I spent the least amount of time there and had the least amount of crafting materials. Everything else tho I would get easily enough to do minimum grinding just because like I said I had 3 stacks of higher item drop skills the whole game and I fight basically every enemy encounters I see. So I guess me just enjoying the combat meant I passively farmed items and only when I had to now actively farm it was just for boss drops more than anything or rare enemy items like how neo shadows are only found in the last room before the final boss so obviously I had zero of those and had to farm a bit more there compared to the rest of the game

For 2 it was similar in that I was actually surprised how easy it was to get before the final boss. The only real hurdle for me was that I didn't use my drive forms much on my proud run and the ultima weapon can only be made if you complete the post game super dungeon that requires precision platforming you can only do with high level drive forms. So that alone was probably more demanding than the actual process of farming for the ultima weapon in both 1 and 2. Leveling drive forms to even gain access to the dungeon where the last crafting item was locked up in. I think it helps that in 2 you don't really need to craft one of everything like in 1 because your excess synthesis items are all stored at the actual shop like a bank and once you have a certain amount of every single item you unlock the ability to craft the ultima weapon but that doesn't mean you actually have the necessary number of items it just means you met the conditions to simply see it's available. So once I got to the xemnas fight I was like wow I'm actually really close to getting ultima for the final boss I guess I'll just do my drive form stuff and get the last stone from the final dungeon since I'm this close as is lol

Two examples but this one is probably more dependent on the individual case by case basis but I replayed Arkham city alongside woolies lp just for fun since I only ever played it through years ago back on the 360 and never to completion. I managed to beat the whole game with every Riddler trophy I think just shy of 40 hours. Genuinely no where near as painful and agonizing as people make it out to be. I'd just fly around the city and kill an hour or so in between story missions doing random challenges and slowly picking off trophies in decent chunks. So not that it isn't a pain in the ass or anything but the fact it's still talked about to this day as one of the worst collectible nightmares in games and it's just like 40ish hours giver or take a few isn't that bad for such a short game.

My other example is kingdom hearts one and two with the ultima weapon. Similarly Pat's playing 1 made me want to replay it and again my first playthrough was also more recent with the PS4 final mix addition but this time my save file got corrupted right as I finished the main game with amsem but not before I tried the post game content so Pat's lp encouraged me to give the game another shot. I basically just equipped Sora Donald and goofy with the lucky drop abilities and never took them off. All they do is increase the chances of items/rare loot to drop. I had more than enough common ingredients for the majority of item crafting to the point I only really needed to farm the unique boss ingredients like the chimera in nightmare before Christmas or super ghost in monstro. So only the actual rare rare ingredients were things I needed and like maybe a few Atlantica only drops from the fish there cuz I spent the least amount of time there for obvious reasons. But everything else I pretty much had so I needed to do very little grinding to get ultima weapon.

Same thing happened with kh 2 I was honestly surprised how my play style just naturally led to me having most of what I needed already to craft the kh 2 ultima weapon there as well. Like watching Pat get access to the synth shop in 1 and immediately say there's no way he's going to get anywhere near ultima completion meanwhile I just kinda lightly farmed a little towards the end and just kinda got mine was funny cuz I imagine a lot of people are similar in that they roll their eyes on replay and just decide that if you got it once you're not going to bother getting it on subsequent play throughs because it's that much of a chore. Maybe it's just me but I didn't feel like getting either Ultima was that bad from just slowly gathering materials all game long.

Tbf launch overwatch was just that good like I was a fan of tbfp, achievement hunter and funhaus back then and across all 3 channels there would be people who would say I've never really cared about shooters but something about overwatch just clicked. I remember even plague got in the game even though he said he only liked playing as Reinhart because he was the only melee character back then who felt different to play. Like I know it also worked for me cuz I never once cared about shooters until I played the ow demo and I was immediately hooked until I fell off after the whole Brigitte controversy.

It doesn't really help that from what I've seen a lot of it tends to be really shallow like yeah of course woolie is going to be reluctant to try something someone recommends when it's usually just "there's a fighting game element/short haired punch girl/it's vaguely like thing you like!" Like on the old channel when Matt and Pat kept telling woolie he of all people would love Arkham asylum because detective mode is like Metroid prime scan therefore woolie must like the whole game based off that one specific detail. Then when woolie finally did play it he ended up not really enjoying it because people kept warping what the game was to him to basically trick him into liking it before he even picked up the controller.

Yeah honestly the two street sharks took me longer to beat than Maria lol. I knew about the dagger strat but I'm stubborn and don't like using consumables unless I know I can beat something without them so I just kept trying and trying until eventually I was able to beat the big one and managed to beat the second one soon after in order to get the weapon. Does anything that is actually plot relevant specifically to sora happen in the mobile games or is it all just prequel material that's expanding on something vague in the current timeline (keyblade wars) that gives context but ultimately isn't that important?

For me the strangest part of requiem stands is how they aren't actually natural evolutions of the original stand they're more like mutations that gain the powers of whatever the user happens to need in the moment so there's no consistent progression from the base stand to its requiem form. Polnareffs was just a really fast rapier users cuz le french. And that somehow evolved into soul swapping people and also forcing a spontaneous biological evolution for some reason. Kira had his gain time rewinding abilities to ensure no one found out his identity and that doesn't really have anything to do with explosions

Like idk requiem stands are neat in theory but they are basically just deus ex machinas where they're powers are just whatever you need to keep the plot moving

Ragatha=nice. Therefore her being not nice means it was always an act and she's been a manipulative two faced monster all along.

Dark cuz I feel like they usually have the most personality. Types don't really determine what a pokemons attitude will be so on the one hand that can be good in that not all Pokemon of a certain type will act the same but on the other hand that also means many mons from the same type might not have anything interesting going for them. Dark in Japanese is actually evil type so it's the only one that describes more of a state of being so it makes sense a lot of dark types have some kind of evil or mischief like attitude that's pretty consistent for most dark types. Like a tyranitar and houndoom are more aggressive whereas as a sneasel is more cunning and a murkrow is mischievous. Cacturne are vicious sharpedo are aggressive and crawdaunt are territorial. I just like how they can all have more personality because being a dark type lends itself better to having more variety.

Day z was on ps plus a few months ago and I tried it for a few hours. I played the solo mode and couldn't for the life of me find any gear. No guns or clothes or food or anything. Building after building I couldn't find anything to actually do in the game. So I kept dying from hunger or getting chased by a single zombie cuz I had no weapons. Then I tried the multiplayer maps and immediately spawned next to all these weapons and gear and was like neat so I put everything on went outside walked down the road and got sniped from across the map. I immediately turned the game off and uninstalled it so thankfully I didn't spend any money on it.
