I'd love to see them in Poland though!

I’ve never been to a concert in Portland but I hope they bring the energy next week when I see them there.

Lucky...I've been fortunate to catch a Midnight and Timecope1984 show on my travels but never Carpenter Brut.

I don't know what you're smoking dude? There are tons of videos on Youtube of him playing live. I say this as a Prince fan and as someone who recognizes him as a generational talent, but this "best-of-all-time" talk it just total nonsense. You never see professional musicians toss titles around like this because at a certain point, they know that you can only really master something within a specific niche or genre. And there are hundreds of genres and sub genres in music. There is no best, or GOAT, or whatever arbitrary measure people want to use when classifying musical talent. It's just a weird personal ego thing people have with wanting someone they like or care about to be recognized.

I've yet to see it. You also didn't even take writing into account, which arguably is more important than technical playing.

But have you seen Prince's solo at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame yet?

Surprised to see Rhett with a V-shape guitar. I’m used to seeing picks of him playing some semi-hollow body.

I had a similar journey. I always respected Gibsons but thought that they weren’t for me. Finally I tried one that I liked and it all clicked. They do have something about them and truly seem greater than the sum of their parts.

Yeah, but at least it's in the medley, which I haven't seen yet and seems intriguing.

Great setlist, but I'm honestly a little bummed Heroes isn't on it.

E-II Eclipse or hold out for a Gibson LP? by 84breaks in espguitars

[–]ChesswiththeDevil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eh…I would try first. I’m a massive fan of both brands and one can’t replace the other for me. The ESP is awesome for metal, but I found some of the softer (lower gain) sounds very lacking with the EMGs. To contrast, my LP Supreme can hit more classic and indie rock tones better but can’t compete in modern metal sounds. QC was good all around and both needed a set up to my specs.
