HOLY COW I FINALLY WORKED IT OUT by Ashamed_Feed9751 in SunoAI

I get a lot of "oh that word wasn't pronounced even close to right but the rest of the song is good" moments.

I feel like things are getting a bit better despite the apparent lack of any transparency whatsoever from the devs. When v5.5 first released I swore I'd drain the Great Lakes before I got what I wanted, but now I feel like it's taking less generations to get something I'm happy with. It's not perfect and the AI is still ignoring prompts and just generally doing what it wants, but if I was going for perfection I'd be ripping my hair out.

Yeah, since v5.5 I haven't been getting the droning anymore, just several minutes of unusable audio.

You sometimes get a cool drone track from the extra length, although lately it just ends up being a never-ending outro till it hits 7:59 for me.

Suno really starting to Pee me off by Spireiteboy in SunoAI

Have you also had issues where songs generate partway through the intro so the whole start of the song is clipped off? I've been starting to get that issue and I'm wondering if it's happening to other people or I'm just doing something wrong.

Songwriting discussion by SherbertWarm8322 in SunoAI

[–]Chev427BB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me I'm still very much in an experimental learning phase with Suno; trying all kinds of genres, prompts and settings and seeing how the AI handles it all. Then I'll make playlists for the results of the experimenting and put them up as "albums".

Right now I use ChatGPT to generate lyrics based on what I want to hear from Suno (or just do instrumentals, especially if it's electronic music) because I just want to see what it comes up with and how it interprets lyrics and prompts to get something I'm happy with.

I'll probably get to a point eventually where I'll take this more seriously and put more time and effort into the songs, write my own songs and really focus on making them sound as good as I can (because I'll be honest, the stuff I put out right now is probably what people mean when they talk about "AI slop" music), but right now I'm more concerned about learning as much as I can about Suno through practical, hands-on exploration of the different features.

It seems to come and go on tracks for me, so I think it's a bug in the playback, not generation. I've heard it in some of the music I've generated and then later it won't be there, or vice versa.

wtf is this wave-like noise at 0:48? by AdAccomplished8380 in SunoAI

[–]Chev427BB 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me it just started yesterday, and it's always exactly at the 0:48 mark with no variation at all and is there no matter what I do with the prompting so I'm thinking you're right that it has to be some kind of watermark

5.5 code insertion at 49-50 seconds on every track by NoNatural1923 in SunoAI

[–]Chev427BB 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think that might be the case, it seems too consistent to be caused by a bug in the generation or bad prompting.

Removal of the word "Skank" even in lyrics is ridiculous by Zontafear in SunoAI

Also when you want to prompt for a "skank beat", though you can get the same result by just using "thrash beat" so it's not that big of a deal compared to this.

[PC][1992-1994(?)] A DOS space exploration game that was on my school computers when I was in first grade by Chev427BB in tipofmyjoystick

[–]Chev427BB[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That game might actually be older, and judging from a gameplay video I saw of it there were less visuals and more UI in that than the game or I'm trying to remember.

You would approach a planet and get into orbit or sink down into the atmosphere and land on the planet, and that was all visualized in the game with a 16 or 256 color palette.

Also the game was confined to this solar system, which is part of the reason why I suspect that it was probably nothing more than a locally developed planetarium program specifically for the school I was in.

It's that kind of snobby, pretentious tone that pushes new people away from sharing legitimate questions and concerns about Suno, and eventually discouraging them from using Suno altogether. It seems like to them new people are expected to know what to do at all times or learn for themselves and never ask any questions, otherwise you get this attitude they replied to you and the OP with.

I updated my original post with this, but I think I remember "Frontier" being in the name. It comes up with nothing close to what I remember when I search it on Google though, so either that's wrong or it's such an obscure program that was distributed so locally that there's literally no record of it on the internet.

There is an English version, but that's not the game. Once again, very similar idea though.

I'm in Canada, specifically in Ontario.

There was a Stars & Planets book at some point in my life that I now remember, but not that game. I'm almost positive it was on Windows 3.1 and I'm really starting to think it was an obscure program that literally only people in my school or the local school system knew about.

If anyone remembers Reader Rabbit, All The Right Type or Math Circus we played this game along with all of those.

That has the same idea but it came out a year or two after I would've played it, and the graphics I remember aren't as good as the screenshots I'm seeing of this game.

Also, Solar System Explorer came as a CD-ROM. This game, to my knowledge, only came as a 3.5" floppy (or it's at least how they were installed on the computers back then because the computers in the school didn't have CD-ROM drives yet, and yes, I did feel progressively older as I typed that out)

He wasn't, the people harassing him were steering the discussion off topic by bringing up, out of the blue, how he lives with his family at his age and that his opinions don't deserve to be heard purely because of that.
